Snaked
And it's actually pretty good! http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/anthrax-pay-tribute-to-rush-with-anthem-song-premiere-20130118
zappafrank
Came here to post this. :P Listening to it now, and yeah, it's pretty good. My initial concern would be that it would be a touch too fast for whatever reason (not b/c Anthrax is part of the Big 4, but I just find in general that covers are often speeded up), and in actuality I'm thinking it's a touch too slow (but only a touch). Joey's voice is in fine form. Frankie Bello has definitely done Geddy's bass parts justice. Not sure if Scott or (the now departed) Rob handled the solo (I'm thinking Rob), but it also is very faithful to the original, especially in the way the wah is used. Charlie sounds pretty loose on the drums, and is showing a more fluid style than I think he's ever shown before, and it works. He also throws in a few cowbell pops here and there towards the end that sound like something Neil would do (especially the Bangkok intro at the end). Thumbs way up for this! Rod in Toronto
Really good - I´m a huge Anthrax fan as well, so it makes it much easier to enjoy it. Belladonna is great here! Have you guys noticed the cover with the Anthrax logo agains the 2112 naked guy?
Rick N. Backer
Anthrax does absolutely nothing for me. But that is a great cover.
Enemy Within 77
I don't know, Joey doesn't sound too good on this. Music is pretty good though.

1-0-0-1-0-0-1
Love me some Anthrax. THIS is a great cover!!!!!! I agree. They paid the proper respect to the song and did a real nice job "Anthraxing" it.

Cygnus 2112
I like it. They Anthraxed it without wrecking it.
ReRushed
I am, in no way, an Anthrax fan. But I do respect them. A solid cover. Respectful. Don't mess with perfection. They played exactly what inspired them.
Lerxster
Wow, that was great. Faithful. Nice playing. That's one of the better Rush covers ever. Thought they gave it a nice ATWAS bent. Rocks :haz: Didn't care for the Bangkok cowbells at the end though. Wait, did I just say that?? http://youtu.be/dx4e_d8U3cU
Rod in Toronto
Charlie did a great job as well. When I heard Anthrax was going to cover Rush I knew he'd respect Neil's fills by not overdoing them. If you ask me, Charlie's my favorite thrash metal drummer. Steevo
Charlie's my favorite thrash metal drummer. ott ...He's very good (my 2nd fave actually), but not quite so intense and exciting as Lombardo. Dave is mine, hands down! ..btt
RUSHHEAD666
And it's actually pretty good! http://www.rollingst...emiere-20130118 I love the cowbells at the end! I'm not really a big Anthrax fan. I've tried over the decades to get into this band and I can't.I do enjoy "State Of Euphoria." To be honest I really do like their latest release "Worship Music." Dave is mine, hands down! ..btt They´re both great! I just find Charlie´s style a bit more varied, but hey, that´s just me. I was wondering what ever happened to another great thrash drummer - Megadeth´s Nick Menza. He was part of what I call their classic lineup - Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extincion and Youthanasia. Then he had cancer on his knee but was fully cured, but was kicked out of the band.

Thunder Bay Rush
WOW! Really sounded good. I liked that little thrash-ish feel to it. That guy can really sing too. I would give both of my nuts and 1/3 of my penis to see Rush play this song live again... even if Geddy had to tone it down a bit. Would still rock!
