invisible airwave
QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Sep 5 2012, 06:13 PM) January Jones. Easily the weakest link of X Men Origins and she wasn't even originally cast. That hottie from She's Out Of My League was originally cast. She would have been better. GeddyRulz
No question, the answer is definitely  Keanu Reeves He's the worst actor in America. He plays the same braindead idiot (himself) in comedies, and when he's given a dramatic role, his suckitude is visibly measurable - you can actually see him exerting effort towards TRYING to act. "Parenthood" is one of my favorite movies, but Keanu nearly brings it down. Edited September 6, 2012 by GeddyRulz

Mr reeves woaa, has never been 100 percent convincing to me, in any films i have seen him in. Pretty one dimensional and he does seem to'force' his acting at times. Also thought he did well in Rain Man and Magnolia. Cruise has definitely not been good many times but I think he's done enough decent jobs to not be the most incompetent actor about. Mara
QUOTE (Workaholic Man @ Aug 25 2012, 02:32 PM) QUOTE (GeddysMullet @ Aug 25 2012, 10:48 AM) I haven't seen all of Leonardo DiCaprio's movies but I've never seen a single one in which he suspended my disbelief. When I see him in a film, I am always painfully aware of the fact that I'm watching LEONARDO DICAPRIO pretend to be this thing or that thing. "Oh, look, it's Leonardo DiCaprio pretending to be Jim Carroll! Oh, look, it's Leonardo DiCaprio trapped in a layers of dreamworlds! Oh, look, it's Leonardo DiCaprio pretending to be J Edgar Hoover!" I don't hate him, I'm just never able to believe in any of his performances. I'm pretty much the same with Tom Cruise. Although, in Rain Man, I thought he gave an extraordinary performance. He can be convincing, but most of the time, he isn't. Tom Cruise could be the second coming of Sir Olivier and I still couldn't watch him in anything.  There's this part of my brain that's now been programmed to shriek, "F*ucking FREAK!" whenever I see Cruise onscreen. I cannot separate his acting from his screwball spiritual beliefs.

I can't watch him any more without being distracted by images of him jumping on Oprah's couch like an freak asshole. And I have trouble watching Mel Gibson now for much the same reason. +1 on the couch deal. Mel Gibson, meeehhhhhh, nope. After he starting directing any film he touches is a muct watch...did you see Get the Gringo??? Gawd---very very entertaining

He was great in that. No, the dialogue wasn't always, or even often that good, but that didn't mean he didn't do a great job with what he had to work with. Even so, take Titanic out of the picture and you still have: Inception Gangs of New York The Aviator Revolutionary Road Catch Me If You Can The Basketball Diaries What's Eating Gilbert Grape Blood Diamond And there are other movies that weren't necessarily as great, like The Beach or The Departed, that still had great acting from him. I'm sorry, but Leonardo DiCaprio can ACT. Agree Goobs.....he has been in quite a few awesome movies....
