I can answer this--it's getting two busy.

Had a free night from homework last night for my 2nd grader...or so the teacher claimed.

we HAD to read his book for the week (Iris and Walter, good stuff), do a couple pages of review from last year that must be turned in, study vocabulary for test on friday, then High Frequency words from his story have to be learned (extra vocab)...then...oh had to look at his social studies book and sign off on recieving it.

we spend 45 minutes on stuff outside his nightly reading. Oh, he also keeps a daily journal.

Hardly ever gets the chance to go outside and play at home during the school

The he and I/me and him thing depends on the context.

He and I went to the fair. Between me and him, the fair really sucked.

Not when you use it to begin a sentence, as I demonstrated by using a capital letter.

I, You, He, She, We, and They are all subject pronouns. They begin sentences, such as "He and I went to the concert."

me, you, him, her, us, and them are all object pronouns. You never begin sentences with object pronouns. Context is irrelevant.

"Between me and him".....begins with the preposition between, which is permitted.
