Halo Effect.

Beautiful.  Love the buildup and the strings.

Rush, if you are reading this, ignore those guys and please play Halo Effect.

AMEN to that!!!

For me it's The Wreckers. This song has become a personal favorite of mine.

I just wish they didn't use the fade out at the end, they should have ended the song with a full Alex solo. I don't like fade out endings...

But other than that I love the song.

...........good point...............maybe they'll play it out live...............

.........have to agree...............even without the usual solo( and I never noticed it before)....................TW has grown and grown on me.........

Halo Effect. I thought it was an okay song, but now I think it's great. Definitely not at the bottom anymore. The only song that has barely improved for me is Seven Cities. Still don't care for it, but it is listenable unlike many songs on their albums since Power Windows. If a song is listenable, that's a score right there.

The opposite happened to me with The Wreckers; I really liked the song at first, but it's gotten lower on my list.

Yeah. I still like it, but that hook just hasn't stayed super catchy for me.

Totally agree! I didn't love this song at first, but I do now.

Must also mention Geddy's vocal on this song. It's just perfect yes.gif wub.gif

I agree with this, too.

Clockwork Angela and Carnies both sounded horrible at first. Now I think they're both decent.

The Garden is beginning to grow on me...the second half of the song is very strong.

Nailed me from the first to last note on the FIRST listen. No song has ever done that to me. Anyway I digress from the poll discussion...

Yeah, I'm one of the rare ones here that isn't captivated by it.

Not as rare as you think. The Garden made me yawn at first listen and hasn't budged since.

It's getting worst with each listening, just like any other cds as well. I need to move on and listen to new sounds... I am always on the run... Edited by RUDT

7CoG. At first I was "meh" to this tune, but at one point it just clicked and now I'm getting into it more with each listen. I dig the buildup & trademark Rush sound.

Honorable mentions:

Halo Effect - The odd thing about this tune is that (for me) nothing really stands out about it, but that same characteristic is what makes it appealing.

Carnies - I described this one as "skippable" several weeks ago, but it's emerged from the ashes since then...still not totally sold on it just yet, but the potential is there.
