Not if you're a lady    Although, the ladies room is getting more and more crowded these days... I can only recall a few times where there was a line for the bathroom (before and after the shows, mind you)- in Manchester, NH in 2008 (the bathroom only had about four stalls) and at Red Rocks in 2010! NYS Fair last year was about a 6-stall ladies room and there was a line - that was the only time! Oh yeah, there was a line at the Gorge last year, but those were for unisex portable toilets

Chicken hawk
QUOTE (Unattractive Truth @ Jun 10 2012, 09:14 PM) Oh, and no pee breaks during a Rush concert ever, except intermission. I try to limit my liquid consumption that day and hopefully i can go the bathroom only on breaks. Yes Sir ! I watch and listen with complete admiration the whole concert!
Snaked
I refuse to drink alcohol at a concert for a number of reasons 1. I like to remember what I paid to see 2. I like to be in full control of myself 3. I prefer not to be kicked out of a venue for being a jackass (see #2) 4. During hot summer months alcohol can dehydrate you causing you to possibly miss the show 5. $10 for bad beer? are you nuts??!!??  I only drink water after about 4pm on a show day and I make sure to grab something with at least some nutritional value about an hour before the show starts. 1 bottle of water about 45 mins before showtime and 1 bottle of water at intermission, just to keep properly hydrated (this began during the shed tours and just works well now).   Like I said earlier, yeah.. I need to take a piss right around intermission time and the best way is to time it so you get to the restrooms before everybody else. Last tour they did Subdivisions for the last song of set 1... if you leave your seat right as Alex's solo is ending you'll make it to the restroom before everybody else and make it to the concession stand before the line is obnoxious.

Amen! As a rule, I follow my "show diet" the day of a Rush concert:Â -breakfast as usual -small lunch -water up until an hour before the show starts -bathroom breaks as close as possible to the start of the show -deal with butterflies in stomach/hunger pains -hope to Gawd some fast food place is open after the concert! You know there is a difference between enjoying a half dozen or so pints and doing beer bongs until you puke topped with 6 hits of LSD. For most people enjoying a couple (or ten) drinks at a show does not produce behavior equated with killing people with an axe.
kentpilot
QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ Jun 10 2012, 05:48 PM) Well if they do play the whole album wouldn't that mean they need to bring along an orchestra and the guy that played the piano on The Garden? As much as I'd like to see that, it may not be feasible And if they do play the album, no pee breaks. I'd rather pee during a song I've seen them play a million times rather than miss a single note of this gem It's a string quartet not an orchestra, and they've had string quartets on Counterparts and Snake and Arrows. Who the hell pees during shows? Those who have drink too much! Â For me i could live without those songs : The Anarchist, Carnies, Hallo Effect, Seven Cities of Gold and Wish Them Well.
