Gilbertk
QUOTE (metaldad @ May 23 2012, 03:09 PM) Neil will use the Big Band Film agian They will have Unfunny videos before, during and after the show Neil will wear an ugly hat with a clock on it Neil loves jazz and big band and is inspired by it and the great Buddy Rich. If you don't enjoy those, ok but don't criticize Neil for wanting to pay tribute to those who influence him. Plus a lot of really enjoy and it's a nice break from heavy guitars and rock music. (Yes, it's a rock concert but that doesn't mean a little something different isn't good.) The videos give me a laugh and I have yet to hear the crowd boo or hiss at them. In fact.. they laugh too! Just try to enjoy them and you will. It's hard to find something funny when you're tapping your feet and staring at your watch. We all want the show to start, and the videos build the excitement and give a good laugh. Are you so judgmental about the band that you criticize Neil's hat? I think the fact that he wears it is hilarious, it being an African PRAYER hat and all. But he's worn one for several years now and it's become part of the show and Neil's stage wardrobe. The Cat 3
Some drunk guy will be screaming "PLAY BANGKOK!!!" the whole night. He will, inevitability, pass out before the show ends, but not before spilling his 7th or 8th beer on the poor people standing next to him. danielmclark
QUOTE (ThinkingBig @ May 23 2012, 04:41 PM) Some fans will never be happy no matter how much money and time RUSH puts into creating a unique rock show experience. As long as I'm paying $300 for me and my wife to attend, I'm not going to pretend that "you'll get what you get and like it" is the proper philosophy to adopt. (And that's just the tickets - there's travel costs, dinner out that night, and other expenses involved.) [edited to add - that's not to say I'm someone who's never happy. I have the time of my life at every show. But I reserve the right to criticize the band for things I disagree with.] Edited May 23, 2012 by danielmclark
