Although on the 2112 tour, they did (minus The Oracle) the whole suite. And on the Hemispheres tour they did the whole album as well, although I don't believe they did it all back to back. And those were "new" albums with epic length material being wielded on their respective tours.

So while they probably won't -- I wouldn't say its not within the realm of being at least plausible that they might. This is Rush after all. smile.gif

I think people need to stop being so hung up on the idea of a full album in the set list. If it happens, it happens. While I think Clockwork Angels will be a fantastic album, playing the whole thing, either set, would be a mood killer. I understand its a concept album but it will also be a new album. You need some old classics to break it up and keep the momentum going.

Of course this is all imo.

No full albums, please smile.gif

....unless it's Grace Under Pressure. Or Power Windows. Also, all of Hemispheres would rock. 1022.gif

I too would put my money (if I were a gambler) on Far Cry.

tSoR unlikely as it opened last tour.

Other thoughts:

OLV

Subdivisions

Once we hear the album we'll know better how this tour will go down! If the album is unbelievable, We will probably hear the whole thing, If not about 7 songs spread about here and there between the sets!

I'm going with these as openers:

Set 1:

Caravan

Set 2:

Subdivisions

Encore:

2112 Overture

2nd Encore:

Limelight

I think its time for RUSH to have a 2nd Encore! I think it would be really cool and surprising!

With the indoor shows, 2112 would work as a good opening song. Just imagine the house lights going down, and then the unmistakable "whzzzzzzz"ing intro to 2112...and the place going NUTS... 1022.gif

That's why 2112 was their opener from 2112 all the way through to Moving Pictures (MP was the first tour where they stopped after Temples, though)

oops.gif

Yeah um... I hate to rain on your parade but that's just not true...

The opener on the 2112, All The Worlds A Stage, Farewell to kings, and Hemispheres tours was always either Anthem or Bastile Day.

All Good new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Opening number is going to be the return of "Big Money". You heard it here. wink.gif

That would actually be a great opener! 653.gif

1022.gif It rocks as the opener on A Show of Hands I would love to hear it live again

The should open with 2112. I'd love the version that they opened with on the PW tour, but ill settle for overture-temples.

Oh and lets hope theres not some goofy video on before, completely detracts from the power and excitement of the opening song.

I really can't see them playing all of CA on this tour. I mean, lets face it, they've only done that once, and it was Moving Pictures! That's setting the bar quite high for playing complete albums.

Anyway, I'd love to see them open with 2112, as long as, they include the Grand Finale. Otherwise, I'm not interested.

Other good openers could be Distant Early Warning, with mucho lasers, The Big Money, Far Cry, etc. I'd be happy with any of those. Actually, I'll be happy either way, it's f***ing RUSH!!! C'mon man! 2.gif

I've just heard that 'THE ANALOG KID' will definitely be the opener for the second set. Also stated: 'Signals' will be a balance point for the upcoming shows.

The Info is from the german Rush Forum and the guy who posted this has contact to the direct periphery of the band and is also a friend of Alex's son.

That means the main focus will be on songs from 'Signals'. I personally doubt that they will play 'Signals' in its entirety but I'm pretty sure we will get 5-6 songs from the album.

Any word on whether CA will be played in its entirety? How about Xanadu?

Nothing new in this context. As soon as I hear something about the setlist I will post it immediately.

As I had pointed out to me in another thread, this isn't true. They played all of the Hemispheres album on the Hemispheres tour.

While I'm sure your information is good faith, I'd be kind of surprised if they have the setlist figured out this far in advance of the tour. I'd tend to think they're still arguing about it. We haven't even had Alex guarantee a song everyone is dying to hear yet, that will end up being a big disappointment when they don't play it. biggrin.gif

But I hope you are right.
