  1. Perhaps they will reward those who took a chance? Glass half full, but I'm going with it until I hear otherwise. They are selling out.
  2. I bought both DAL and STL vip packages. I tried the presale for about 30 mins, then bailed and went vip. Both were complete 30-40 mins after the sale started, so I'm probably in Row 15. Anything better and I'm happy. I just checked on both vip sales. Both are Sold Out. Market price cleared. The way I look at this is that there exists both a primary (face value and requires luck) and a secondary (vip, scalpers, Stubhub, etc - more pricey, but luck not needed) market. I tried to play the first then surrendered to the second.
  3. Set 1 - Caravan Set 2 - 2112 Last Song - La Villa Strangiato
  4. Like I said earlier, I don't think they decided this is farewell. The thing to watch is if they have truly nailed it and produced an epic along the lines of The Wall, they have to face if another record is worthwhile. I hold hope that they have nailed it. There are aspects of musical brilliance in all 3 songs we have heard. Caravan has an instrumental jam in it that may be unmatched. BY2B has that heavy riff that may become a staple at sporting events coming out of a stoppage. HF is outstanding. CA maybe an epic work, not just for Rush fans, but R&R in general. Hell, this could become a movie. I'm going with what Geddy has always said when asked the question. "as long as we can".
  5. QUOTE (Snaked @ Apr 18 2012, 08:18 AM) we dont yet know for sure if the first two tracks have been re-recorded thus hitting play is the way to go. This.
  6. It isn't a farewell song. It is part of a story. This band has never been better, muscially. No way they stop now.
  7. I love it. Heavy power trio without keyboards. Bliss.
  8. QUOTE (Strangiato @ Apr 18 2012, 11:50 AM) Anyone want to fill in the missing lyrics for me? Here is what I have so far. All the journeys Of this great adventure This didn't always feel that way I wouldn't trade them Because I made them The best I could and that's enough to say Some days were dark I wish that I could live it all again Some nights were bright I wish that I could live it all again All the highlights Of that headlong flight Holding on with all our might To where I found that place I wish that I could live it all again I'll stoke the fire on the big steel wheels Steer the airship right across the stars I learned to fight, I learned to love, and learned to feel Oh I wish that i could live it all again All the treausures The gold and glory It didn't always feel that way I don't regret it I'll never forget it I wouldn't trade tomorrow for today Some days were dark I wish that I could live it all again Some nights were bright I wish that I could live it all again I'll stoke the fire of the big steel wheels Steer the airship right across the stars I learned to fight, I learned to love, and learned to feel Oh I wish that I could live it all again *garbled voice* The days were dark *garbled voice* And the nights were bright *garbled voice* Hey man, I would never trade tomorrow for today *garbled voice* Yeah All the highlights Of that headlong flight Holding on with all our might Some days were dark I wish that I could live it all again Some nights were bright I wish that I could live it all again I'll stoke the fire on the big steel wheels Steer the airship right across the stars I learned to fight, I learned to love, and learned to feel Oh i wish that I could live it all again I'll stoke the fire on the big steel wheels Steer the airship right across the stars I learned to fight, I learned to love, and learned to feel Oh I wish that I could Oh I wish that I could live it all again Special thanks to Snaked, rushgoober, eezyrider, danielmclark, and http://cygnus-x1.net for helping out! Great stuff. My only edit is the last chorus: I'll stoke the fire on the big steel wheels Steer the airship right across the stars I learned to fight, I learned to love, and learned to STEAL Oh I wish that I could Oh I wish that I could live it all again
  9. The opening riff that repeats throughout the song should become a staple at sporting events coming out of a break in action. It sounds like doom for the visitor.
  10. QUOTE (That One Guy @ Apr 16 2012, 12:32 PM) Hey guys, All these "Rate this album" threads lately got me to thinking: I haven't listened to all of Rush's songs. So I've decided that changes today. I'm gonna check the songs I'm missing off the laundry list. I have never listened to: A couple songs from Presto Hold Your Fire, except for three songs Caress Of Steel (someone's gonna kill me for that one) Most of Fly By Night Time to get listening! No killing necessary, but please get yourself a nice set of headphones and crank up Caress of Steel. It is a mind bender.
  11. I've listened to all of it at least once. Strange, but I like S&A and feel like I'm the only one that does. I have no time for Power Windows, Hold Your Fire and Roll the Bones. I can find something I like on every other record.
