ALifeson85
QUOTE (Queslington @ Apr 10 2012, 05:31 PM) What they meant was Symphony X is opening for them on the Clockwork Angels Tour. Hey, as long as Rush still dose a 3-hour show afterwards, I'm down with that...
1 of the 7
Interesting in light of the Radio City rumors I was hearing a month or so ago, since that would be a good venue for such a show. I'd still go see Rush either way, but it does make me glad I've seen them on their own.

Dylan2712
they'd never do it as a full tour, a few special shows at close venues would be ideal. im open to the idea, though i'd never travel to go see it... i'd just buy the DVD or CD. i think it could sound wonderful to have a full orchestra. they could do more songs that they haven't done before and just pepper in the live standards and fan favourites, maybe with slightly different arrangements. napoleonj
i'm putting my money on signals with the orchestra... second set... maybe they hang for a few more songs after that... call me crazy, but i think swapping out all the synth strings for a full orchestra is going to be crazy awesome... the chorus on analog kid will put arm-hair on end... I think it would work better in the second set (maybe drop the drum solo to accommodate). But Rush will do what they are going to do...

The Cat 3
I welcome the idea, I think it would sound fantastic. All of you skeptics should listen to the first three songs off of Metallica S&M, "The Ecstasy of Gold," "The Call of Ktulu," and "Master of Puppets". It is, in my opinion, 21 minutes of the best live music ever recorded by any rock band.
savagegrace26
They should definitely throw in Geddy's Working at Perfekt if they go with the orchestra thing.

They were simply select shows to record. If Rush does that...I'm fine with it. Like I said, just not MY shows! Wha, Wha Wha, not my show, Wha, Wha, Wha, I want Rush as a 3 piece band, Wha, Wha, Wha, its going to sound weak, Wha, Wha, Wha,! Give me a break! Allow to do what ever they want, before they say F@ck you all and retire! Who knows you might just like it! Dontcare If this plan were to come to fruition, I would watch clips of the first show of the tour BEFORE buying tickets..
