Greetings humans, I am Ziltoid...the omniscient.

I have come from far across the omniverse.

You shall fetch me your universes ultimate cup of coffee...

Black!

You have five Earth minutes,

Make it perfect!

Well, she was just 17,
You know what I mean,
And the way she looked was way beyond compare.
So how could I dance with another (ooh)
When I saw her standin' there.

Ther first song on the first album (British release) by the band that changed it all.

Also,

"It was 20 years ago today, Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play"

and

"Let me tell you how it will be. There's one for you, nineteen for me"

Yeah I thought about Sgt. P and especially Taxman (one of George's all-time best tunes IMO) but left room for someone else jump aboard. There's always room on The Beatles' train.

It's already been mentioned, but the opening line of The Cure's One Hundred Years is, quite possibly, the most apt lyric ever to open an album.

It doesn't matter if we all die...

Seven words that capture the tone and theme of the entire album. I can't think of a better example.

Mother, you had me
But I never had you...

Love that album new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif Made me think of:

As soon as your born they make you feel small, by giving you no time instead of it all..

trink39.gif Nice ones.

In the town where I was born

Lived a man who sailed to sea

And he told us of his life

In the land of submarines

I think it's dark, and it looks like rain,

You said.

And the wind is blowing like it's the end of the world,

You said.

And it's so cold, like cold if you're dead.

Then you smile for a second...

Or

Something warm and soft just passed through here,

It took the precious things that I hold dear...

Or

She's driving away,

With her dim lights on.

And she's making a play,

She can't go wrong.

She never waits too long....

Who's got the brain of JFK? What's it mean to us now?

Stretch the bones over my skin Stretch the skin over my head I'm going to the holy land

Some say Atlanta

Some say New York

Some say Paris, France

Who knows where this flower grows

Shaolin shadowboxing, and the Wu-Tang sword style

If what you say is true, the Shaolin and the Wu-Tang

could be dangerous

Do you think your Wu-Tang sword can defeat me?

En garde, I'll let you try my Wu-Tang style

And the lamb lies down on Broadway...

Early morning Manhattan - ocean winds blow on the land...

If you didn't care what happened to me - and I didn't care for you - we would zig zag...

It was 20 years ago today Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play...

A body is washed up on a Norfolk beach - he was a friend that I could not reach...

Huddled in the safety of a pseudo silk kimono...

Jesus died for somebody's sins, but not mine
meltin' in a pot of thieves
wild card up my sleeve
slick heart of stone
my sins my own
they belong to me, me

A Patti Smith fan. Cool.

Let's have a black celebration tonight.

September '75 I was 47 inches high

Mom said someday I would have

A bad ass mother G.I. Joe

for your little minds to blow

I still got beat up after class

She's a good girl, loves her mama

Loves Jesus and America too

She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis

Loves horses and her boyfriend too
