Actually I made a small mistake in my calculations   1 post/6 seconds = 0.1667 posts per second 0.1667 posts per second = 10 posts per minute 10 posts per minute = 600 posts per hour 600 posts per hour = 14 400 posts per day 40 000 posts/14 400 posts per day = 2.7778 days

Someone tried that once. This guy joins the board, and right out of the gate starts a spamming run that left even our veteran professional spammers gasping in awe. I'm pretty sure he's the guy who made us raise the flood control to 6 seconds.   We weren't happy with him because all he cared about was raising his post count. We tried to tell him he should get to know the rest of the board, join in on some convos, etc., because we didn't like people joining here just to spam up the joint. He'd reply, "I just want one of those badges." And he wasn't being nice about it.   He never made it to 2112. And it wasn't because he quit voluntarily.
