invisible airwave
Argo Affleck is now a perfect 3 for 3. I also dig the retro WB logo at the beginning. That's my favorite WB logo intro ever. Reminds me of classic 70s films of that era like most of Eastwood's movies and Dog Day Afternoon. Bryan Cranston kicked ass in his role. I'd like to see him get a supporting actor nod at the next Oscars. Edited November 10, 2012 by invisible airwave
Chicken hawk
I want to see ARGO. Thanks for that good review. I also want to see Flight with Danzel Washington but it isnt playing around my area. Anyone see it?
Enemy Within 77
My fiance dragged me to Paranormal Activity 4 the other night- she loves those films, and I happen to think they're absolute shit! I have to say, after viewing the atrocity that is part 4, the others look like fukkin masterpieces. For the first hour not a damn thing happened, and when something finally did happen I saw it coming a mile away. At least the previous installments tried to explain the story a bit and how everything was connected. This one explained absolutely nothing and adds nothing to the series. Long story short- it sucked big time!

The Sorcerer's Apprentice was ruined by Jay Baruchel who was terrible and Nick Cage who was highly unconvincing, to say the least, as a wizard from 740 AD. Alfred Molina was the only saving grace. LyndseyG
^^ I love Stardust. Coincidently, Valkyrie is premiering on tv on Sunday and I spoke to Gilby only last night about watching it as I want to see it at some point. The Sorcerers Apprentice is one I would like to see at some point too.
invisible airwave
Stardust is awesome. It reminded me a lot of Princess Bride when I saw it reminded me why I was in love with Claire Danes in my teen years back in the 90s. Amazing Spider Man Not as good as the 1st one but WAY better than the 3rd one. Emma Stone was great again and nice to look at as usual. The Raven Better than I expected it to be. Cusack actually looked like he gave a damn about this movie in his performance compared to his usual paycheck roles of late like 2012.
mazyyz
Flight. Denzel Washington nailed it. Should be getting on Oscar nod for this one.

treeduck
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/72/The_Innkeepers_Poster.jpg One of the most boring films I've ever seen. And when it finally gets a little bit interesting near the end they stop the action and cut to a weak little epilogue with a pathetic ending. treeduck
http://imgs.abduzeedo.com/files/articles/drive-poster/drive_poster_abdu.jpgThis was good. I've never seen Ryan Gosling in anything before, I don't think, but he was pretty solid here. I didn't expect to ever see a scary Albert Brooks character :o and I didn't even recognise Russ Tamblyn, I still think of him as the guy in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Tom Thumb and West Side Story. Extra points for Ron Perlman's appearance!
Stormtron
Russ Tamblyn will always be Dr. Jacoby to me. Agree about The Innkeepers too. Nothing happens for almost the entire movie and it lacks a mood, characters, or atmosphere to make it compelling. Just a whole bunch of nothing. JohnnyBlaze
Hotaru no Haka (Grave of the Fireflies). I'm not really into Japanese anime at all but this is one of the greatest war films of all-time. Yup, one of the greatest imho. I can't believe I just saw it. BUT if I were to cry in one it would be this one. I can't think of any film offhand that was sadder. Very powerful.
