It features that dull actor who played Superman a while back too (Brandon Routh) and he's duller than ever in this. I kept hoping one of the monsters would get him, no such luck though... Halloween gets all the praise, but The Thing is Carpenter's masterpiece! One of the greatest films ever made. The Thing is one of my favs of all time but Halloween is still Carpenter's masterpiece. You're keeping on your roll of watching B-movies (or close to it) so you should try and watch this old Chinese horror flick called "Jitters". I think it's Chinese anyways. I saw it a while back so I'm not sure. But the vampires or zombies or whatever the hell they are hop around (a Chinese horror thang in which the legs can't move...rigor mortis and all that...so they have to hop around). Yeah, you can imagine how ridiculous it looks = HILARIOUS! Check it! Or if you're looking for something mainstream but a little different, check out "White Noise" with Michael Keaton.
