why bother kicking?  Just place ball at 20

I think this year there will be a record number of 80 yard drives. *yawn*

and the importance of special teams will slowly diminish.

Kickers don't have to kick the ball deep into the end zone. In the Packer game, Mason Crosby pooch-kicked the ball....popped it up so that Darren Sproles wouldn't get it, and it worked. Some other guy had to field it, and it prevented a long return.

Of course, when you have a rotten coverage team like the Packers have, you gotta do stuff like that..... angry.gif angry.gif angry.gif

AP resigns with Vikes, 7 yrs, $100m, $36 m guaranteed.

Polamalu resigns with Steelers through 2014.

I heard AP's contract is the richest for a running back in history. Maybe it's because i've never had that kind of cash but what do you do with all that money?

Good move by the Steelers. I'm not surprised they did that.

Anyone who had Ravens punter Sam Koch on their fantasy team just got two points.

Ravens 29-7 over Steelers...not even the refs can save them now!

Not a good day to be a football fan from Missouri...Chiefs lose to Bills 41-7 at Arrowhead.

Rams lose Stephen Jackson, Bradford to injury, game to Eagles at home 31-13.

Bengals win battle of Ohio, at Cleveland 27-17. Bengals will not go winless.

Nate Kaeding injured on opening kickoff.

Ah Damn. Norv Turner's typical team not ready for the first five games of the season. This is getting sickening. They have replaced every assistant coach including the special teams coach to no avail, when the hell will they finally replace Norv? Horrible play calling, wasted time outs, 5 dead ball falls wtf.gif

But a pass defense that held the Vikings to 28 net yards led the Chargers to victory, 24-17.
