Glenn Tipton & KK Downing - Judas Priest

Glenn wasn't in from the beginning he joined in 1974, before that KK was the sole guitarist.

true but Glenn was on Rocka Rolla 1022.gif

And K.K. has just retired. The band will go on with a replacement.

Wow you'd think he'd do the "final" tour. obviously it's not going to be quite so final after all...

And with that KK has ruined his continuity, Ian Hill is the only one left in Priest, the rest are new boys (relatively speaking) and ex-members...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This makes me sad, I really like K.K. - with this being their "last" tour, there must be something else going on.

I hope it's not health related. He quits after 40 years right before their final farewell tour? wtf.gif

U2 has been consistent for over 30 years.

Not musically! doh.gif

Touche! To give them credit, only NLOTH would I consider to be truly crapworthy.

Gregg Allman - Allman Brothers

Butch Trucks is right there with him. Jaimoe is still around too (although he has been in and out a copule of times)

A lot of the guys listed above have melted into oblivion, and the obvious comparision with our favorite trio falls short.

Skynyrd has had a couple stalwarts but look at the tragedies there.

ZZtop, How long have those guys been jamming? Longer than RUSH?

'71-'72?

More like 69...

Yep, '69 is correct. And think about ZZ and Rush both being trios with the whole 3 person dynamic and throw in Ged and Al being childhood friends. I think it says a LOT about who the guys in Top and Rush are as people that the 2 bands could work together for as long as they have.
