Invisible To Telescopic Eye Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 WOW!!! I forgot all about that second one!!! (Never heard of the first) I think I used to watch that on Nickelodeon about 30 years ago and that Thames Production logo was a blast from the past!!! And it is creepy!!! How 'bout this one creepy but fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGICvFr9tDo
Stormtron Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jitg-3xbmKU Pretty creepy for a kid's show. Far scarier than the actual episodes. The Unsolved Mysteries theme also creeped me out as a kid.
J2112YYZ Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I always watched this show back when I was a youngin.
GeddyRulz Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I thought was kinda creepy as a kid - falling into the giant magic hat and being tormented by Charles Nelson Reilly and all that - but watching now, it's pretty tame. And I just learned that the lead guy was Butch Patrick, who played Eddie Munster on the The Munsters. I didn't know that. Then there's The X-Files.
RushCanuck Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 This. (i know, not much of a theme, but still creepy)

Possibly the longest opening theme song in TV history?
ReRushed Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 When I was a kid this creeped me out: Chiller Theatre
realomind Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 This one, hands down absolutely terrified me when I was a kid, my mum still jokes about it from time to time. Both the tune and the opening sequence are creepy as hell. Even briefly checking it out to post it gave me the heebiejeebies.
Cowtothesky Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 (edited) This show (Vegetable Soup) used to come on really early on saturday mornings when I was a kid. I still have nightmares about this weird-ass show. Here was the theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twR-GI9gGk8 This is the same show that brought us these bizarre characters: http://www.youjustmademylist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Outerscope_II.jpg Edited March 25, 2011 by Cowtothesky
VampireBiscuits Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Both of the themes that have creeped me out have already been mentioned, Unsolved Mysteries and The X Files. As a kid, they both terrified me, especially the X Files. The show would always come on just as my sisters and I were supposed to be going to bed, and nothing would get us there faster than that theme song. As soon as we heard it playing, if we weren't already on our way to our rooms, we were definitely there by the time it finished playing. I laugh about it now, especially since I've gotten over that and love to watch reruns of the show whenever it's on.
Del_Duio Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) This gets my vote, Friday the 13th the series. Also an awesome show, if you like B movies and cult stuff. Friday the 13th the series intro Edited March 28, 2011 by Del_Duio

Those puppets were frightening! The dead eyes, the large hands... The puppets were from a segment of "Vegetable Soup" called "Outerscope," about a group of kids who build a wooden spaceship in their backyard and then travel to trippy planets and other dimensions. I swear it was meant to put kids into an altered state, maybe existential ennui. In any case, it's a scary little drug trip for a nine-year-old.
PanaceaFish Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) Still creepy to this very day!! Edited March 28, 2011 by PanaceaFish
