RUSHHEAD666
I know there are two months left of the year, but I selfishly don't care. My 2010 Album Of The Year is: ACCEPT: "BLOOD OF THE NATIONS" Classic Heavy Metal is BACK! Every song is bloody brilliant. Pun intended.

Xanadu93
I'll be honest: I don't have one album of the year. Last year, I named The Hazards of Love by The Decemberists as my favorite album in like July or August, and I still thought it was my favorite for the rest of the year. But this year, I've got like twentysomething albums that I've listened to - more than last year - and though I liked all of them, none of them have grabbed me like Hazards did. I've had a top three list for several months, so here's what those three records are. Angels & Airwaves - LOVE The Dead Weather - Sea of Cowards Gorillaz - Plastic Beach (Honorable mention goes to Omni by Minus the Bear.) That said, My Chemical Romance's new record is due out in a little more than three weeks, and based on the two singles I've heard and the reviews I've read, it'll take the No. 1 spot. I'm also waiting on Kanye West's new record, which is due out the same day, because I only have two other rap albums from this year: the latest albums from B.o.B. and The Roots, both of which I greatly enjoyed. I think it'll also be a great record.
J0N
Probably Eparistera Daimones by Triptykonr, The Guessing Game by Cathedral or Fuzz Universe by Paul Gilbert Electric Wizards new album will hopefully be even better, though

Hatchetaxe&saw
Ain't touching that one for at least another month.....but......BUT....right now it's a dead heat between Roky Erickson/Okkervil River and North Atlantic Oscillation. But a lot can happen in a month. A lot can happen in a moth too, but that's another story.

Mystic Slipperman
So far my two favorite albums of 2010 are at opposite extremes: Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier and John Legend & The Roots - Wake Up! It's weird to be me.
-Jane-
I was looking at all the stuff that I am listening to a lot, and none of it is from 2010 its all from 2009. So l looked at a list of releases in 2010, and I don't even really have anything released in 2010. Kinda underwhelming year in releases. Having said that I have been to a bunch of great shows this year.

ghostworks
as many have said, 2010 is far from over personally, 2010 to date has turned out to be a year of great individual songs - but not one terrific full-length 'album' to speak of this might be the first full year where the repercussions of the 'mp3 culture' as it applies to the music industry can be measured by individuals and artists we'll see the 'great' songs so far: Blonde Redhead - Oslo The Church - Stardust The Church - Dakota Karen Elson - The Ghost Who Walks Goldfrapp - I Wanna Life Massive Attack - Girl I Love You Massive Attack - Psyche (Flash Treatment) North Atlantic Oscillation - Alexanderplatz North Atlantic Oscillation - 77 Hours Sun Kil Moon - Half Moon Bay Underworld - Scribble Underworld - Grace UNKLE - The Runaway UNKLE - Heavy Drug [instrumental disc version]
