losingit2k
I went with Possibly but unlikely! I remember this song from my first Rush Concert! it was possibly the best production of the tour! However, the song has never been played live again! It's really a shame, 'cause it's geddy's best lead on keybaords! A real work of art! I can almost imagine how it would look up on the screen these days. Columbia taking off, dry ice spewing over the stage followed by the pyro " as it slowly leaves the Ground! it would be incredbile! We can only dream! 2112Oracle
I would love to hear this song live. It's an amazing song, that is (unfortunately) losing the NASA Space Rock contest. I love the catchy synth riff. I've got it stuck in my head now. If this were to be played live, I'd be very happy.
rushbass
I say yes... the vocal line's range is very easy, and it could be quickly added back into the set rotation.
micgtr71
God I hope so!
WIDE-ANGLE WATCHER
Definitely It will be played again. If they can bring back The Camera Eye and Presto....and hopefully Jacob's Ladder. Then Countdown can happen.
Bastille Dave
Probably but not likely. It's kinda synthy and they dont seem to play very much of that style live anymore. I'd love to hear it though.
micgtr71
Upon reflection, Digital Man showed up last tours and I never thought that I would see that...Countdown could happen.
bigalfan
Put me down for another, "hope so!" I really like this song.
greg2112
While I'd love to hear it, I say never again. There are other amazing Signals tunes they havent done in years that are more likely to be played: ie Weapon.
FoxxiStarr
I would love to see it performed live again. I remember vividly when I saw it last in Edinburgh, at one point in the video the crowd waves at the camera. Half of the hall waved back... totally caught up in it all. So cool. Pause Rewind Replay
As much as I'd like to hear it (anything from Signals would get me off), I don't see it happening. And besides, they have to bring AK and The Weapon back first
GrandDesigner
No way. The song hasn't been played live in almost 30 years, and unlike The Camera Eye which also went unplayed for so long, there's no real demand for it, nor does it appear on their most successful album. If they're going to do anything from Signals again, we all know it will be Subdivisions or Analog Kid
ReflectedLight
it's an ok listen but i'd rather hear analog kid or the weapon in concert.
ColdFireYYZ
QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Sep 26 2010, 08:20 AM) it's an ok listen but i'd rather hear analog kid or the weapon in concert.

Good point..... I know it's a 'Give Countdown some love' thread.....but.... If I could pick one off Signals it would be The Analog Kid
Tick
For someone to say never would be too presumptuous. I doubt they will, but if they keeping touring it might eventually make a set list.
metaldad
I would love if they did but they won't
theredtamasrule
Never. If they won't play Jacob's Ladder there's no f***ing way they'll play Countdown.
Show Don't Tell
Well, technically, anything is possible. Whether or not it is probable is a different story. My vote goes to #2.
Rush Cocky
QUOTE (theredtamasrule @ Sep 26 2010, 07:47 PM) Never. If they won't play Jacob's Ladder there's no f***ing way they'll play Countdown. How about a Jacob's Ladder/Countdown medley?
