ILSnwdog
This morning, I asked my four year old son what he would like for breakfast, and he told me "I want chicken flakes". I was befuddled. I did not know what chicken flakes were. Then he brought me the box. http://img.meijer.com/assets/product_images/styles/xlarge/1001029_038000001109_A_400.jpg

I never really thought much about that chicken, it was just there, and all my cereal says Wegmans (store brand), so I never see it. Seems like a remnant of some old marketing scheme. My first thought was the same as Nathan's but I completely agree with Hare - kids do see the obvious ~ and they're so literal, until we teach them to think abstractly, they just don't get it! Boots
You can buy them in a can like tuna. The chicken flakes, I mean. You can mix them with mayo to make chicken salad sandwiches.
