Any Meet & Greet Photos?

My meet and greet was interesting. They shuffled us around in the secure area. back and forth, back and forth. They were waiting for the boys to finish dinner. All the while 'stormclouds were looming low and ominous' and 'thunderheads were rumbling in a distant overture' The venue has nothing but mobile out-buildings. No permanent structures except for the stage. After our rules briefing, they shuffled us into a large out-building that contained the dining hall in 4/5 of the space and the meet and greet studio in the remaining 1/5. There was a full buffet complete with chocolate covered strawberries, food, coffee, and there was a table that looked like the one in the final video of the show. I couldn't find the plate with the 'This sandwich for Neil only' sign on it though. They were very fast and borderline rude. I said 'thank you for a lifetimes worth of multi-faceted inspiration' while I shook Lerxt hand. He said thank you. I said 'Hi geddy' he siad Hi and we took the pic and I waved on my way out and said 'good luck on the rest of the tour'. It is an honor to have that chance, but it is so superficial.

I'm the tall one next to Alex. The short guy is my coworker, he wanted to 'Slap that Bass' :-)

I was first in line for my meet and greet. I would never do that again. Although I got to talk with each of them, they had the crowd cheering for them as they walked in so their attention was diverted for a bit. Mosbach grabbed me and put me in line so fast. It was still the best experience ever and I got to talk with Ged wub.gif a bit so it all worked out.

Are you saying Alex and Geddy were borderline rude? Or the folks running the meet and greet.

My journalistic skills rearing their ugly head again. The staff was borderline rude. Alex and Geddy were very nice.

I like how both Ged and Al need ID tags.

I mean, yes, they should, but it's just funny to me.

Security Guard:"Are you REALLY Geddy Lee or just saying you're Geddy Lee...?"

It is pretty "rush"ed... But they do have to get ready for the show, mind you. I was talking to one of the security guys and I guess they were just a tad bit behind schedule when it came to rolling by in their golf cart that escorted them to that dining area thing.

It's cool that some people get these, even repeat performances. I used to think that one day I might be so lucky.

But probably not. smile.gif

I am curious to know for those that won meet and greets through Musictoday presales, how long before your show were you notified that you had won. And was it by email.

Great story!

Too bad your friend never gotted to slappa that bass. laugh.gif

I think if I had the opportunity I would definitely do a M&G. I know they go fast (which is why I'm sure people come across as being rude) but it would still be such a thrill to at least stand by those guys.

Don't give up GG. Just when I gave up for the S&A tour, I won! It took me 32 years as a fan to get there though. biggrin.gif

Niiice. wink.gif

WOW! She's not hard to look at! I'm thinking, for a change, it was Geddy and Alex's voices that cracked a bit during this meet-n-greet. Alex looks like he might be blushing...who could blame him!?

"OKAY...the photo is over! Thank you, miss! Now move on...as quickly as possible!" wink.gif

I'm curious . . . when you guys say, "They went over the rules", this sounds like there were many more than just "no autographs".

What other rules do they warn you about as you shuffle around in shock?!?!?

I'm thinking that if I ever get the opportunity for a Meet & Greet, I shouldn't grab onto Geddy's leg like an anglerfish, eh?!?!?!? blush4.gif

BTW, GREAT PICS!!!!!

And wasn't this the show that got cancelled.

I wonder what they did to pass the time?

Notice though that she doesn't have her arm around Alex at all and she's doing the rock out sign or whatever it's called with her other hand, almost like this was just a photo op for her or something. Doesn't she realize how lucky she was?
