  1. Hi, everyone! Are we allowed to sell stuff here? I'm not sure if I'm even posting this in the right thread, if so. But, to cut to the chase... I currently own a MIJ Geddy Lee bass and I haven't played it in over a year. It's stayed nice and safe in its hard shell case. My amp is shot to hell (cats had a field day with it...) and I do not have the money to replace it. In fact, I could actually really use some money, and that's the main reason I am deciding to sell this. It has a few nicks on it from use and travel, and could most definitely use some new strings, but it's 100% playable and in very good condition. I can post pictures and stuff once I find out if I'm even allowed to advertise this here. I'd like to sell it with the case and thinking about $850 + shipping costs possibly, for a price. But we can talk. I don't wanna just give it away. This is a nice guitar and a very durable case. I see a lot of these used, GL Fender jazz basses going for about $750 and, while I can't find the exact model online anymore, I did do some research and I found that the brand of case ranges from $100-150. I tried listing this on eBay to no avail, so I figured I'd try here since there's potentially a lot of bass players maybe wanting one of these. You can always e-mail me any serious questions or inquires at alexandriaburrow@gmail.com This will be "first come, first serve", unless someone is willing to offer me a higher price for whatever reason. Or, if you'd like me to relist my original auction on eBay, I can do that, as well. Believe me, if I wasn't so tight for money, I wouldn't be so ready to sell it. But, hey. It might as well go to someone who wants one and who has the proper, working equipment to actually play it, lol. Sorry if we aren't supposed to post stuff like this.
  2. "This moment may be brief, but it can be so bright." ; ) I've found, that in my experience, it goes in a flash. You shake their hands, chat for a few seconds... or, maybe if you're closer to the end of the line (so they aren't as in a hurry to get to other meet and greet winners), you might get a bit longer... I've met them three times and never have I seen them sign anything. I don't think you're allowed to bring anything. It took me until my third time to actually form sentences, so prepare what you're going to say in advance, LOL. My best advice is just to go prepared and say something that'll make them wanna engage a bit longer than 0.5 seconds for a picture. Have fun and congrats! EDITED TO SAY: It happens after the sound check, about... thirty minutes prior to the start of the show? Or about that.
  3. Hi, all. I haven't posted here in so long! Good to be back! I'm wondering if anyone is looking to sell a ticket - section doesn't matter - possibly at face value or even just a bit more expensive, if you wanted? I have my own tickets already; I'm going with my sister. However, my friend just got into RUSH not too long ago and told me he is really wanting to see them June 12, here in Chicago. Only problem is, re-sold tickets are going for 200.00 +, even for nosebleed seats. I know that's probably pretty typical with re-sold tickets, especially so soon before the show. But still - I figured I'd try here, also. ...Anyone not able to go, or got an extra ticket they're looking to sell? PM me here or e-mail me at alexandriaburrow@gmail.com and hopefully we can work something out!

Still, I'd rather have a CA tour than this. Me too! Hoping for some changes. And, while I definitely prefer CA... like I said, I can't help but be happy to SEE them... They aren't going to be going forever, so I have to take advantage of the times they're around. Yeah, yeah, and you'll get ANOTHER meet & greet and backstage access and live every Rush fan's dream and post wicked cool pictures and make us all burn with jealousy. . . (j/k, y'know. Except I AM envious!) ......

  11. I am SO stoked about seeing RUSH again. They'll be here in Chicago April 12th! How could I not be excited? ... In a WAY, I'm a little disappointed, ONLY because I've been saving money to see them in Chicago and cities around Chicago... I was saving that money for the Clockwork Angels tour... and I'm already getting impatient with saving this money. I have about 300 bucks saved, with more coming 'til the end of my school year. I was just thinking that they'd do the CA tour next, but now that it's Time Machine... I've got mixed feelings! Wanna see RUSH as many times as possible, but don't wanna blow the money I've been saving on a tour I've already seen. Either way... I will definitely greet them with MUCH appreciation
  12. I love that RUSH loves Chicago. Yes, yes, yes. This just made my night.

I never knew that Wait, seriously? ... Oh. I had to look it up because I thought I was crazy after other people having the same misconception... http://www.lyricsbay.com/freewill_permanen...yrics-rush.html ...Okay. I guess I'm sane. It is preordained. But yeah, for YEARS I always sung "All through your days" ...

  15. This tour was phenomenal. I know at some of the shows Alex was having some technical difficulties, but that doesn't bring down the overall experience. Hearing MP played in its entirety was a real treat, as well as some of the other classics. The boys really seemed to be enjoying themselves, and that's always a major plus... It'd be hard to enjoy it knowing they totally hated it. I know Neil had some up's and down's, but overall, he seemed pretty content! I experienced some of my best RUSH memories during this tour... On 7/5, I was up front with my 12-yr-old sister, and we got Neil's sticks, got a shirt thrown to us by Alex... 7/7 before the official canceling of the show, I got to thank Ged and Alex for everything, and I hugged my heroes. 8/23... I walked upon the stage, and got to sit on the Throne itself. NOTHING tops this. Thinking about it makes my heart heavy with an overwhelming feeling of joy. Nothing makes me happier than just being there. first show I went to on this during was the 7/3 show, in Wisconsin. We had seats way, way back. Seat section in front of the lawn... but I still got into it just as much as any other show... still got choked up and teared up because of how these guys make me feel... Still sang, air-drummed/guitar'd/bass'd every song. Jumped around and watched every movement. There's something magical about a RUSH show... every person in the audience, whether you know them or not, becomes connected for that few hours. Smiles forming at the same time because you know that "one cool thing" so-and-so's about to do... or "oh, oh... listen to him hit this note" ...We're all one in the same for that time being... and every concert this tour (as did the shows last tour) ... put me on cloud 9 for a long, long time. I have dreams before the show and dreams after the show... and I guess all there is to say is, "The things that I once dreamed of, have become reality."
  16. a long while back, my sister thought FBN was... "My sh*t isn't coming..." rather than "SHIP" also, my own misheard... "Sweet Jamaican baked beans..." rather than "PIPE DREAMS" "Santaaa Clause..." in Hemispheres... "SET OUR COURSE"

  18. I've been a fan since I was 12 or 13 (I'm 17, almost 18, now)... My mom and her at-the-time fiance Keith (now husband) introduced me to them. I heard 2112 on the radio, and then Keith let me borrow his Spirit of Radio Greatest Hits album. It was love from then on.
  19. DEFINITELY. I have RUSH dreams pre- and post-concert... and sometimes some random RUSH dreams in between...
