I just read Allen Steele's "Coyote" and "Coyete Rising" in the last few days. Excellent sci-fi about human exploration of another solar system. They were basically a bunch of short stories that he culled together to make a couple of novels. Excellent reading. There is one more in the trilogy (Coyote Frontier) and then a seperate book that is connected to the trilogy called, yes, "Spindrift" (actually, that's how I came across the book, when doing a search on Spindrift).

I'm reading Whitethorn Woods by Maeve Binchy - my favorite Irish author.

In the style of Jeff Shaara Civil war historical novels and Charles Frazer's Cold Mountain. Just started good so far.

I have to re-read the books i've studied this year in preparation for exams. So that's; A Room With a View (schla03.gif) , Remains of the Day ( schla03.gif ) and Dr. Faustus.

There's a ringing endorsement for higher ed.

Yawn. schla03.gif

"Transmutation Through Ascension" by Solaris BlueRaven.

Her words lift off every page, as if she's speaking directly to ME!

I'm finding this one surprisingly difficult to put down.

I'll take note of your recommendation. That looks like my kind of book.

I love finding books of the "can't put it down" variety. yes.gif
