P/G and Power Windows are my two favourite Rush albums.

I usually chose the latest record on polls like this as that's the one I spend the most time with.

 

However, seeing as this is an old poll and the latest record is not available...

 

I go with Permanent Waves. I tend to pull that one off the shelf more than any other. I can't say why (okay, Natural Science is probably why) but it's the way it is.

 

I could easily have voted for any record up there... with the notable exception of Feedback.

Moving Pictures is still my favourite after all these years but close behind are A Farewell To Kings and Hemispheres

Signals. However, it was an exceptionally close-run decision, with Permanent Waves and Hemispheres nipping at its heels.

Now, while my favorite song is Show Don't Tell, I love every song on Signals.

 

It was the only Rush album I bought that I couldn't stop listening to. Great stuff.

Grace Under Pressure

 

It was an album that was so perfect for its time and place. It was about the Cold War, it had a cold sound. Songs like Distant Early Warning and Between the Wheels captured the feeling of peril, and Red Lenses captured the "And the Band Played On" feelings.

2112 is probably my favorite, along with Grace Under Pressure, Moving Pictures, Power Windows, and Permanent Waves. Those are my top 5, but I also like Hold Your Fire, Hemispheres, A Farewell to Kings, Counterparts, Snakes and Arrows, and Test for Echo. Not so much a fan of or Signals. I don't own Fly By Night, Caress of Steel, Roll the Bones, Presto, Vapor Trails, or Feedback, so I can't give a rating for those. Edited November 27, 2007 by Syaoran_2001
