definately Rush on the Hemispheres tour

Ditto on the Hemispheres tour:

Runner ups would be

Allman Brothers - early '71 with Duane

Grateful Dead - Fillmore West run in Feb '69

Zep - Houses Of The Holy tour

I would have loved to have seen UK from the late 1970's with Terry Bozzio,Eddie Jobson and John Wetton.

I never saw the UK lineup with Allan Holdsworth & Bill Bruford (I can't even be certain they ever toured), but I did see the lineup you mentioned three times. I saw them twice in small theaters that held about 1000 people. Needless to say, they were great. That reminds me to look for all the UK releases on CD as I only have them on vinyl. Thanks for jogging my memory.

Btw, they sold T-shirts at the shows that said on the back:

UK

off!

The punk in me would have loved to have seen the Clash and the Ramones back in the day.

Saw the Clash...Great!

I could see the Moving Pictures tour a thousand times & never get tired of it!

oh and ac/dc with bon scott

They were bloody good with Bon Scott, as good a live band as Rush used to be.

One of the best gigs I have ever seen.

Bon was amazing

Black Sabbath making their name, 1969-70.

I saw Metallica on their Black Album tour. Unrelenting 3-hour set. Damn. At the height of their powers.

I love Rush now and would've loved to see them in the late '70's... even if just to play Cygnus X-1 live.
