I just heard about this on the way home from work. I also hope he is ok. I heard he was in critical condition. sad.gif

No, thankfully he was never in critical condition, only serious condition. I mean, that's not great, but people who die are much more often in critical condition first.

Here are some quotes from the most updated news story:

"Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman was in serious condition at a Memphis hospital after being involved in a car accident Sunday night, but did not suffer any "life-threatening" injuries, according to a friend."

"He's resting quietly and has some fractures. Nothing life-threatening. Nothing permanent," Luckett told the newspaper. "He's in good spirits, but he's in some pain."

Thankfully, he'll be ok. He's one of those people that seems pretty universally loved and respected, so I'm sure there are a lot of people sincerely praying for him and wishing him well.

He and Gene Hackman..!  Two of America's finest character actors.

Damn Right. Throw Robert Duvall in that group also.

And don't forget Keanu Reeves!

I've been sending prayers his way.

He's probably pretty tough, but he's also 71 years old. I certainly hope he makes a full and speedy recovery. rose.gif

I agree. His age is a major concern. He's one of the best ever. Prayers for him.

Here's a link to the story about Freeman's accident from the Commercial Appeal newspaper in Memphis:

Here's hoping Morgan makes a speedy recovery. He's a great ambassador for our state.

That is good news. I really like Morgan Freeman. From everything I have heard, he is a genuinely nice and grounded guy. Why can't he run for president? smile.gif
