Wow. There are some truly bad movies on that list! I'm going with Rocky IV. 062802puke_prv.gif

Dont forget, when you say Rocky IV, youre saying that Over The Top, Rhinestone, and some other real stinkers are better movies. I dont want to persuade, but take your time here, theres lots of steaming piles of dung here.

I did remove voice roles, and othe rminor roles...

Oh, I certainly don't think those movies are better than Rocky IV. I liked the Rocky movies very much up until Rocky IV came out. It just represents something"jumping the shark" perfectly. Everything that is bad about Rocky movies is in Rocky IV. It's exploitative. It's simplistic. It's manipulative. Most of the bad movies on this list are harmless misfires that I can easily ignore or laugh off. With Rocky IV I can't seem to do that because the Rocky movies were a big part of my youth.

Good points!

I think I've actually only seen 8 of those movies, five of them being Rocky movies, so I haven't seen enough of his movies to judge the worst wink.gif . He just never really appealed to me much, and I refused to see any of the Rambo movies. The first Rocky is brilliant though, and the next two are decent. The one movie I really love of his is outside of Rocky is Nighthawks.

After consulting with my wife, Stop or My Mom Will Shoot got the nod. I saw enough other bad ones, like one of the Rambo sequels or Tango and Cash or Cobra, but that one just seemed so bad that I couldn't even see it. Not even on cable. My wife caught parts of it on cable and vouched for how bad it was.

I couldn't get excited about Rocky IV, either. I never saw that one, because, as suggested earlier, it really did appear to have that jump the shark quality to it. The first Rocky is a timeless classic, though.

That was hard. Soo many to choose from. I actually like a lot of them but the bad ones were really bad. Cobra was pretty awful with that giant blonde woman sly married. (I think she was in Rocky IV as well)

His 80's movies were all just extended survivor music videos. laugh.gif

I haven't seen a lot of those, but what I've seen of "Oscar" was pretty bad. A period comedy starring Sly?? new_thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

The original "Rocky" and "Copland" were his best.

I thought Rocky V was MUCH worse than IV. Stop or my Mom Will Shoot is pretty much at the top o' the list for me.

I agree.

I liked IV when it came out, but now I suppose it's kind of cheesy. V was bad all around, but I liked the montage during the closing credits.

Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot is the worst of the few that I've seen.
But, I give him credit for Copland. A great little movie.

"Stop, or my mom will shoot" was more or less capitalizing on Estelle Getty due to her character of Sophia Petrillo on Golden Girls. She was a TV sensation back then.

I didn't see that movie, but when I saw the ads for it, it seemed that it was more of a "Sophia Petrillo" movie than a Stallone movie.

I never saw V because I heard it was so bad. I thought IV was so cheesy, I kept laughing. With the terrible training conditions Rocky had and the high-tech stuff the russian guy had. Click

And then the Rodney King speech at the end. "Why can't we just get along?" laugh.gif

I see that list and I wonder just how in the hell Stallone managed to make so much crap and still maintain such a big draw in Hollywood...all on the strength of a couple of movies. Well, one good movies and a few that didn't outright suck.

I'd like to know just how much coke was involved in the decision to greenlight "Rhinestone".
