He defined the original trilogy. As shakey as some of the characters were in episodes I-III, at least Lucas got the villains right. They all kicked ass. And Boba Fett did survive, GL edited in/wanted to edit in a new scene in the newly-released DVD showing Boba Fett's escape from the Sarlacc. If memory serves me correctly, he manages to reignite his jetpack, and when he is out, Dengar comes and rescues him and nurses him back to health. Sadly, Boba Fett ends up double-crossing him... Fett is turned into a bit of a good guy in the recent Legacy series, because he trains up Jaina Solo in order to defeat Darth Caedus. But yeah, Bane or Revan as my top villain. Vader used to be so intimidating and cruel in ANH and ESB, but by the sixth film, he goes all soft and turns out to be a rotting white guy.
