  1. I have recently fantasized them playing The Twilight Zone, with its ending's atmosphere shaping into The Necromancer; an instrumental version of the first two parts. Abbreviated slightly however, ending it right before the growling of By-Tor, and followed by a Neil solo. This could start out with a brief nod to Didacts And Narpets before going into whatever Neil wants to do. But yes, I visualize Alex slaying with that song. It's a classic old school Rush jam and could be accompanied by lots of "smoke" and thick green lighting.
  2. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Dec 8 2010, 08:59 AM)QUOTE (Joshua @ Nov 29 2010, 10:26 AM) I don't get the whole Potter thing. If you don't read the books, you never really will. The movies are fun, but the books blow them away. The wife and kids are in full Potter craze; reading through the series. Some are seen prancing about the house with a stick "wand", humming the theme music.
  3. Unforgiven would have been first on my list... Costner's Wyatt Earp was the best Earp IMO and would have been on my list... As would Pale Rider, Open Range, and Dances With Wolves.
  4. Power Windows rules. Enough said.
  5. I don't get the whole Potter thing. I went to see it with the family though and endured. "Ah, they're camping in the woods... again." A bit slow in places. I chuckled when I heard folks behind me sniffling during an emotional scene near the end. I so wanted to point and laugh at the screen in an obnoxious manner. Visually, the film had some really strong moments. The animated part during the story of the something-or-others was particularly nifty.
  6. QUOTE (FoxxiStarr @ Nov 7 2010, 09:12 AM) I think I trust PJ implicitly. Watching the 3 LOTR films was like he'd opened my skull up and taken out the images I had created of Middle Earth and its peoples Alan Lee really should get the credit, not Peter Jackson (in my opinion).

  8. Been watching some old clips of him on Letterman. So sad what happened. I always loved Farley.

She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid. I've made a lot of special modifications myself." - Han Solo I just wonder why they need a satellite dish. Do they have cable tv? They have little hand held devices in the movie that you can talk across the galaxy, yet the spaceship needs a satellite dish the size of Delaware? That and if you look at the size of the cockpit (giggle) compared to the rest of the Melinnium Faukkin...doesn't look like there's room to stand upright. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070217103320/starwars/images/thumb/1/1a/MillenniumFalconInterior.jpg/355px-MillenniumFalconInterior.jpg http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20081001132212/starwars/images/thumb/b/b8/Falcon_egvv.jpg/598px-Falcon_egvv.jpg QUOTE (danielmclark)<star wars geek> The dish isn't a satellite dish, it's part of a military-grade sensor package. The ship is only tall enough to walk around in from the cockpit going back into the main circular mass of the ship. The front prongs aren't tall enough to walk in. If I'm not mistaken, that's where the concussion missile launchers are housed. </star wars geek> I would like to add an honorable mention. The "derelict spaceship" from the 1979 classic, Alien. http://application.denofgeek.com/images/m/75spaceships/main/derelict.jpg And an interior shot: http://www.horrorphile.net/images/alien-space-jockey.jpg It's all so ominous and mysterious.

I personally like Return Of The Jedi's score the best. I love the Empire Strikes back soundtrack and Revenge of the Sith Yes, these two as well. Sith is VASTLY UNDERRATED. Some really emotional pieces in that score. I agree. The best soundtrack of the six films.
