Roddy
I'm still sticking with Freewill, but a case could be mounted for the entire 1st side of 2112. So much so that they have to play it in a different key these days so Geddy can actually sing it!!!
treeduck
QUOTE (Roddy @ Jun 25 2007, 12:18 AM) I'm still sticking with Freewill, but a case could be mounted for the entire 1st side of 2112. So much so that they have to play it in a different key these days so Geddy can actually sing it!!! I'd probably go with 2112 too. It's not just how high it is, it's the way he seemed to attack that material. Geddy was vicious on that album. The energy levels required to sing that stuff that way are surely much greater than most vocal challenges out there. I doubt anyone could ever reproduce a performance like that 10-20 years down the line. Geddy's voice is unique, even more so back in 1976.

In fact the last half of that song may be the HARDEST Rush song they've ever put to tape,...it's just loud and it rocks out
