I fell out of it once I left for the weekend with my boyfriend but it was pretty fun for a while.

Now I'm back to Monster Hunter.

I played that once. It took too long to finish. So I gave up.

I finally got a new (to me, anyway) game: The Witcher, Enhanced Edition. Freakin' epic! Find it, buy it, play it!

the Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice games

Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia Never been a bad Castlevania

Soul of Darkness (dsware game, copy of castlevania)

Chrono Trigger (rpg*) Definitely have to check this one out, I've been hearing about it from everyone i know

Disgaea DS (ridiculously in-depth srpg*) I'd guess something Final Fantasy-like?

Dragon Quest IV, V, VI, XI (rpg)

Fire Emblem - Shadow Dragon (srpg)

Golden Sun - Dark Dawn (coming out later this year, rpg*) Looks sweet from the trailers I've found

Izuna 1 and 2 (rpg, dungeon crawl, roguelike)

Kingdom Hearts - 358/2 Days (action rpg, only if you like KH*) Bought it, then my girlfriend stole it. Kind of a proud moment

The Legend of Zelda - Phantom Hourglass (action rpg)

tLoZ - Spirit Tracks (action rpg) already played through, good game

Luminous Arc 1 and 2 (srpg)

Mario and Luigi - Partners in Time (action rpg*)

Mario and Luigi - Bowsers Inside Story (action rpg*)

Mario Kart DS (racing)

Megaman ZX (platformer)

Megaman ZX Advent (platformer)

Metroid Prime Hunters (FPS*)

Resident Evil - Deadly Silence (survival horror) Impossible to find a copy of so far, but I'll get one somewhere. Did they make the gameplay too touchscreen-heavy?

Rune Factory 1 and 2 (farm sim/action rpg)

Suikoden Tierkreis (rpg, painfully easy if you're experienced in the genre though)

Super Mario 64 DS (platformer)

Yoshis Island DS (platformer)

If you have an older model DS (with a GBA slot), definitely play Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow if you haven't already. If you like how Golden Sun 3 looks, you'll definitely want to play the originals first. Golden Sun and GS: The Lost Age came out on GBA and were probably the best RPG's for the system. Used copies of them shouldn't be hard to find, but if you can't track them down just ROM them to get ready for the third... which I'm super mega excited for biggrin.gif

And Disgaea is... not so much like FF. It has gameplay similar to FF tactics (or Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, etc.). It's grid and turn based, tactical RPG battles. Only with a high learning curve and a crazy amount of depth.

read that section of the article to get a decent handle on exactly what you'd be getting into if you invested in the game laugh.gif

And yeh, Chrono Trigger is a classic, make sure you give it a go.

Andddd... a lot of people don't like RPG's. I sometimes have trouble understanding why, but they exist laugh.gif

Yep, I just bought my DS Lite literally a month ago. (to put things in perspective, my last big upgrade was a PS2, last summer tongue.gif)

I bought Dementium II, Kingdom Hearts, Castlevania, and Pokemon Platinum. yes, weird list.

Thanks for all the info, these look sweet

Right now - I'm just about finished Metroid: Other M (at least I think I'm almost done.) Then, back to trying to get all 120 stars in Mario Galaxy 2 (I've got 100 so far)

I don't plan on buying anything new until the new Fallout game, but I got Shadow Complex & Dead Space for the 360 recently and haven't started them yet.

If any of you folks have played this and have any tips on defeating the Striga in the Swamp Cemetary Crypt, I'm all ears! laugh.gif She's killed me six times now! doh.gif I'm using the Blizzard, Tawny Owl, and Wolf potions and I've coated my silver blade with Hangman's Venom and I alternate between the Igni and Aard signs. One time I got all excited when I hit her with the Igni sign and it did 667 points of damage, but she came right back and killed me with two swipes of her paw. That was a bummer.

There's a potion that grants immunity to stun hits, which she uses to just stomp all over me, so I'm going to make some and use it and see what happens. I'll keep y'all posted.
