Well the Vikes are who we thought they were. Apologies for disrupting the normal proceedings of the season. At least now I can go back to not getting my hopes up.

Shit no call on that safety. Ref was looking right at it. But you can't win games when you only score 6 in the last 3 quarters.

Does this threaten the Dolphins' chances this year?

We'll know depending on whether or not Hawk Tua plays Sunday.

Yeah, doubt the Vikes win even if they get the call, so from that perspective it is not that big a deal, but....

How in the name of fuckitty did the refs not see that???????

Lost your left tackle for the year. ouch.

Lions fans showing no sympathy...we're down to practice squad guys at defensive end.

I was planning on going with my wife to the Vikes/Colts game, as she has never been to an NFL game, but I cannot get motivated to give this league a couple hundred bucks right now. For some reason.

And Darrisaw went down on a meaningless play to boot. Argggh.

I am officially giving up my "Win with Darnold now" fantasy and going back to the previous "Win with JJ McCarthy in 2025 or 2026" fantasy. Keyword: FANTASY.

Some good friends of mine (Viking fans) are going to Jacksonville in two weeks for the game.

I wished them many hurricanes .... the cocktail.   :cocktail:  :cocktail:  :cocktail:

yet tennesee gives him away in favor of a draft bust and a backup retread. It's greatly underestimated how much good organization and coaching affects QB play.

rumor starter: Lions will deal Hendon Hooker as part of a deal for a top shelf DE. I like Z Smith in Cleveland since his cap number is reasonable.

Da Bears' Tyrique Stevenson (#29) talks smack with the crowd near the end zone during the Hail Mary play......

.....then he meanders over to tip the ball to Washington's Noah Brown.

Stephenson f***ed up for sure, but he wasn't the one who called the play to hand the ball to a backup guard on the 1 yard line.    Plenty of blame to go around for this one.

I think someone mentioned good organization and coaching, but I digress.

Caleb Williams was the definition of skittish and 'happy feet' in that game.

Lions will be sending Christmas cards to the Bears for giving us Montgomery for a song. The one guy that was overperforming his contract and you let him walk? Geeeeezzz

What's the theory?  Bad organizations blame their best players for the team's failures?

in the case of high draft pick QBs, many times the organization is pushing them to start too soon. Mahomes was successful because he sat for a season. The organization sell themselves as the experts and always 'get their guy' in the draft. In reality it's much more of a crapshoot. That in combination with poor coaching or scheme will doom a young player.

I agree with that in a broad sense.  I was just passing along the theory (which maybe is more of an aphorism than a theory) I'd heard, though I couldn't find who it was attributed to.

Score seems to be going the wrong way.

I don't think you appreciate the NFLs' utter incompetence.

Ask your doctor if being dragged down by the facemask for a safety is right for you.

Half back draw on 4th and 1 was gutsy and they call it genius when it goes for TD.

olave was knocked out by a cheap shot by xavier woods. woods penalized but not ejected. that was a brutal cheap shot.

"Olave was hit in the head and neck by Panthers safety Xavier Woods while attempting to catch a high pass from quarterback Derek Carr across the middle of the field. Woods was flagged for unnecessary roughness for the play, his ninth such penalty since entering the NFL in 2017, which is the most in the league during that span."

but new york didn't eject him. f***ing double standard.

Vikes regressed back to the mean starting with Lions game. Now without their best O-lineman for the year, stick a fork in them.

if it makes you feel any better, every team that's played the lions loses the next game. Next up for Green Bay is da Bears.

ooops edit...titans beat patriots today. bless your heart.
