I think when the free kick is taken from 70 yards you have to look at the `keeper.

Looks like Poland and Argentina will advance.  A shame a Latin American team couldn't make it forward.

There is always a load of injury time. Long way to go. Mexico are having some crazy chances!

Poland should bring on Lewandowski!!

They keep saying that FIFA will draw lots if the yellow card count is equal as well as goals. But lots of what? And who are the artists?

Polish friend asks me what offside is - I explained briefly, but she says, "Ah, Spalony". Well, that`s cleared that up.

Well, hot diggity. Saudis wake up just in time for Poland to see the goal, which was sweet.

The Saudi crowd went nuts, of course!

Best day of matches yet!  THAT is what World Cup is about, all on the line, tension beginning to end.

Last night was a bit of an anticlimax, but this was perfect. Hopefully tomorrow has some similar shenanigans too.

But even with that goal, Mexico could've advanced by scoring another one.

A quick catch up. Big day today.... Congrats to blackhawkrush for Poland, but wish they could have killed Argentina off. As much as I am glad to see the Aussies progress, I suspect Argentina will crush them. The France v Poland game should be a cracker!

Just up. A couple of massive games today with both Belgium and Germany drinking in the last chance saloon. I love to be watching but we have a day at sea so no doubt the only thing I will see is the bar tender's smiling face!

The Belgians were also poor in this WC. Danes, Belgies, maybe ze Germans, too? Not a good tournament for north-central Europe.
