One of many great actors who never get the lead roles, yet make their performances and characters unforgettable.

Good small role in Midnight Run.  Say hi to Grodin and Farina for us.

"Drink a glass of milk.  Do some f*cking thing!"

One of our busiest character actors, the type of guy you might recognize from lots of films but might not know his name. RIP

He'll always be Mr. Bookman to me.

I always get this guy's name mixed up with either Joe Don Baker, Philip Seymour Hoffman or Anthony Michael Hall, RIP.

Just like Hoffman, he collaborated with another 3 named guy, Paul Thomas Anderson.

Which reminds me, I still need to see the only PTA movie I have yet to see, Hard Eight.  Good thing it's on my Showtime subscription.  Gotta admit, I'm hesitant to see it because I really cannot stand Gwyneth Paltrow.

I still blame her for Saving Private Ryan not winning Best Film.

The real blame goes to the Weinstein (speaking of persona non grata) for his “make love not war” campaign.

Oddly enough he was in Talented Mr. Ripley with her which Miramax distributed overseas and is a much better movie.  Paramount owns all of Miramax now since Viacom/CBS have nearly have half a stake in it.

When I read the title, I thought Tom Baker died.
