Between cheating on her ex husband with a few different men and getting eventually served divorce papers, MTG is the woman of authority on traditional family values

State and local governments (excluding fed) spent $206,000,000,000 on roads last year, but try to spend 5% on building modern high speed rail that's faster, safer, and cheaper per person to operate, and inbred dipshits lose their mind.

"Frugal taxpayers" (do these even exist?) have dozens of actually bad uses of money to worry about before even remotely considering the possibility of a rail line going over budget.

Newsflash: most large infrastructure projects blow their budget. CA HSR has taken too long and spent too much money, but that's a side effect of the fact it had to get started state level with all the issues that creates. It should have been a federal project. And holy hell did environmental permitting for 400 miles slow it down.

Newsflash nothing that’s been the story my entire life.

If Donald Trump wins in November he better not go full dipshit and sabotage federal funding for high speed rail

Kill that, computer chips, and domestic EV battery infrastructure, and you'll pretty much ensure the US is a second/third world country by 2050.

The refusal of Dems in congress to even acknowledge or talk about the issue of corporations buying and becoming landlords on single family homes is pretty unforgivable. This is something like 80-90% of the population despises. We can't even talk about it? Can't float the idea of legislation? All you c***s just own so many REIT's that you don't want a change in the trajectory? We've all gotta become forced renters?

Nah, we'll be alive. Alive and shitty. Laughing about the lack of outright climate change death while waiting in welfare and soup kitchen lines while watching China do shit we can no longer do. Maybe by then they could start employing us to staff their call centers! Oh wait, AI might obsolesce that by then.

Screw it, the US will become subsaharan africa

It takes one hell of an anti-American commie bastard to hate unions. Nobody likes a class traitor, and you're never gonna be filthy rich, so stop fellating the rich in the hope they drop you a few nibbles

I’m in a decision spot for this fall. A week after a double vaccine in fall, I developed medical problems that lasted five months. I’m convinced it was adverse vaccine reaction, and the docs don’t necessarily disagree.

At a minimum I won’t double up on the same day this time. At least three weeks apart. Might skip covid.
