blueschica
My favorites were A and D, but I went with D. Couldn't pass up the reverse chronological order and the first set with Far Cry, Dreamline, Mission, Red Sector A and Analog Kid. Not to mention Xanadu, etc to follow.

goose
I can't even process all that, so A. D. And D.
JohnnyBlaze
They're all pretty good set lists...of course. But I think D has my vote.

EagleMoon
Any of them as long as we could have a time machine and go back to get pre-2000’s Geddy to sing them.

No matter the set-list, who can do vocals at this point?...
BenjaminW
I went with A although I like all the other ones as well. I'm inclined to give you my own personal fantasy setlist so why not give my own personal taste on it? I will go ahead and say some of this is inspired by the R30 set-list so please don't get any pitchforks ready since the setlist I propose is similar to one that's been done before. Also, let's imagine that all three members weren't suffering from any playing/singing deterioration (no offense). Deep tracks included as well. Part 1:1. Instrumedley (Finding My Way. Anthem, Bastille Day, Something for Nothing, Cygnus X-1, Hemispheres Prelude, Entre Nous)2. The Spirit of Radio3. Subdivisions4. Dreamline5.Lock and Key (with Last Mile intro)6. Red Barchetta7. Show Don't Tell8. Bravado9. Marathon10. Caravan11 .Test For Echo12. Stick It Out13. Distant Early Warning14. Vital Signs15. Closer to the Heart16. Freewill {Intermission} Part 2:1. The Big Money (with Also spruce Zarathustra intro)2. Driven (with bass solo)3. Where's My Thing?4. Mission5. Jacob's Ladder6. YYZ (with drum solo)7. Broon's Bane/The Trees8. New World Man9. Roll the Bones10. Chemistry11. Red Sector A13. Natural Science14. By-Tor and the Snow Dog15. The Camera Eye16. In the End17. Witch Hunt Encore:1. Xanadu2. Tom Sawyer3. La Villa Strangiato4. 2112 (Overture/Temples of Syrinx/Grand Finale) Edited October 8, 2017 by BenjaminW

Your fantasy setlist, though an awesome one, would hospitalize them! These aren't wimpy little pop songs they'd be playing. TheAccountant
I went with B. My 3 favorite Rush songs (2112, Subdivisions & Time Stand Still) plus a bunch of deep cuts & 80's music - yup, thats it for me. Now, to improve it, get YYZ out of the set list and replace it with The Main Monkey Business or La Villa. Plus get rid of the Finding my Way / In the Mood medley and replace it with The Big Money. Also add Freewill & Limelight and take out Jacobs Ladder & Red Lenses (yes, thats 2 deep cuts, just not 2 would want). Finally, replace Animate & The Spirit of Radio with Everyday Glory (never played live to the best of my knowlege), Cold Fire and / or Presto But even so, that my preferred list. Justus_2112
And yes, just like the song says, I have too much time on my hands. Which song? Rush comes close in The Analog Kid with "Too many hands on my time," but if you're a Styx fan...
diatribein
A or B work for me. Not having to endure Headlong Flight, Chemistry and Jacob's Ladder made me choose A over B, although missing out on Prime Mover, Red Tide, and Roll The Bones makes me sad. Could I swap out Lock & Key for Prime Mover, Where's My Thing? for Roll The Bones and YYZ or the Drum Solo for Red Tide? I would also like to get rid of Clockwork Angels and replace it with Caravan, because I can't stop thinking big! Okay? Deal??? TexMike
D would've been awesome, but just getting through that first set would've given poor Neil a heart attack.
NewWorldScott
C was a contender for me because of the badass second part of the setlist, but D has the well balanced list, and some awesome other songs as well.

fraroc
Okay, I'm gonna necro my own dead thread because I recently came up with another pretty decent fantasy setlist. This one is kind of based on the idea for a themed show for a Rush tribute band, It's a retrospective show, but instead of being modeled after R40, it's kind of in the vein of the Time Machine tour, where you have a greatest hits tour but it's not in chronological order. (Band is dressed in modern Rush casual style. Alex impersonator playing Les Paul while Geddy impersonator plays Fender Jazz)1. Limelight2. Grand Designs (Geddy Impersonator: "How you all doing tonight? Those were two songs from the 80s, let's do something from the 90s!)3. Dreamline( Geddy Impersonator: "We're gonna do a little exercise in self indulgence here tonight....a little exploration into modern Rush")4. One Little Victory5. Test For Echo6. We Hold On7. The Anarchist(Band does a quick costume change, putting on monk robes while the Geddy impersonator exchanges his Jazz bass for a Rickenbacker. Geddy Impersonator: "As a reward for sitting through our little exercise in self-indulgence, how about some fan favorites from the 70s?")8. The Trees9. Xanadu10. Lakeside Park11. 2112 (Overture/Temples)(Band changes out of robes, Geddy Impersonator gets his Jazz bass back)12. Distant Early Warning13. Subdivisions (END OF FIRST SET) (The Three Stooges Intro from A Show of Hands plays on the jumbotron before the first song of the second set. Band changes their dress style to mimic the Power Windows era of Rush. Alex impersonator is now playing a Kramer Baretta and is dressed in a black velveteen suit. Geddy Impersonator is dressed in a similar suit, is wearing an actual raccoon hat, and is playing a Steinberger Spirit bass)14. The Big Money15. Witch Hunt16. Digital Man(Geddy Impersonator: "We're gonna do a song now that has never been performed live before by the real Rush")17. High Water(Geddy Impersonator: We're gonna do a quick detour to the 90s!)18. Roll The Bones 19. Middletown Dreams20. Red Barchetta21. Red Sector A(Geddy impersonator replaces Steinberger with Rickenbacker)22. Manhattan Project(Band does another costume change to the early 80s bowling shirt/skinny ties, Alex impersonator playing Les Paul again. Geddy impersonator: "We're gonna finish things off by paying tribute to the most sucessful era of Rush, the late 70s and early 80s, when they really became legends!")23. Natural Science24. Jacob's Ladder25. The Spirit of Radio26. Tom Sawyer27. Closer To The Heart (ENCORE) (Band still wearing same outfits from the last decade block and playing the same instruments)28. The Camera Eye 29. YYZ(Band makes final costume change to 1970s-styled high school kid outfits, Alex impersonator now playing Squier Stratocaster and Geddy impersonator playing a Squier Precision)30. Fly By Night31. Finding My Way/In The Mood
