I would NEVER go to a chiropractor! When I started having back problems my wonderful HMO sent me to a chiro and he started adjusting my back, Never took x-rays or anything despite my protesting ( I was in my early 20's) and I ended up with 1 hip almost 8 inches higher than the other! It took over 6 months of physical therapy to bring my hips back in alignment. What I learned about chiro's from working in the medical field, is that they think they know how to treat everything and they don't! Most veer off the chiro specialty and try to become pain specialists etc. without the proper training to do so.

DON'T DO IT!!!! I have 5 herniated discs, 3 in my lower back and 2 in my neck and I will never have surgery. I was a medical assistant for an orthopedic surgeon and it is highly unusual to have to just one surgery. The average person will have 6 and at that point wish they had never done so. I have notebooks full of research on this topic and in my work experience and in life in general I have NEVER heard anyone who was happy with a surgery. I'm not gonna tell you it is easy living with the pain and the nerve irritation but I know what pain I will deal with on a daily basis. Once you have surgery that all changes. As time goes on you build up scar tissue that takes the place of the disc that is pressing on the nerve, so it's now time for another surgery. Here are a few things to try: acupuncture, a cortisone shot in the spine (make sure you have a VERY GOOD DR. before you do this), massage will often help. If things are totally unbearable you can try an implant that will help with pain and nerve issues. I have a friend on FB who has had like 8 back surgeries and he now has the implant and it's like a whole new world for him. Learn how to move properly, ex:; lifting, etc. to prevent further injury. I use heating pads all day and when I go out I use a Thermacare. Make sure if you are sitting at a desk, you have great back support. There are pain clinics that will work with you on different ways to manage pain. I would try all of these before I ever had surgery. Good luck!!

The kiddo came home with a runny nose and watery eyes and a warm forehead. First day back at school too. I'm hoping it's allergies as they have been really bad in my house for the past two weeks. I asked my Doctor yesterday and she said they are hearing about people being wiped out by the flu, but they are not seeing it in the office.

They said they would be doing a North American 2013 tour in the spring and summer. I also heard the rumor on FB of someone "in the know" that dates will be coming in the next few weeks.

This whole mess with Tate vs. the band is a big cluster f**k. I don't know how it will turn out as a benefit for either one of them Empire is my favorite Queensryche album and the hard part is picking one song. This for me is a CD I play as a whole never skipping anything. Maybe Hand on Heart or Is There Anybody Listening.

I cannot stand the name Geddycorn and don't know its' origins. Although I've loved Geddy since 1976, please don't call me a Geddycorn!

This was the first time in a loonnnggg time that I was in front of Alex and he's such a goofball. He looked like he was having a great time!

Killer show! One of the best this tour so far. I was 2nd row in front of Alex. Everyone was really into the music from both sets. Great show that should've been filmed!

They will surely include Red Rocks if there is a 2nd leg and at least 2 shows. The most incredible place to see any band but especially Rush!
