  1. Even with downtuning so many of the older songs...he sounds amazing. How does he do it?
  2. Eh. Far Cry is fun live. Still, I would have swapped it and The Wreckers out for something from Hold Your Fire and Presto maybe.
  3. That might have been the best show I've seen in my life. Considering doing a long write-up over it. The boys pulled all stops this tour. Unfckingbelievable. Is it just a facade? They didn't seem tired at all.
  4. I went in blind at Greensboro. Figured it out once Headlong Flight popped up as the third song following Wreckers and The Anarchist.
  5. I'm a twenty-something lacking in the funds. I'll scrounge up the amount I need soon enough though. This tour is definitely eating into my wallet but it's worth it!
  6. I really dig it. Wish it was on the CA tour.
  7. Signals behind the debut? Really, Geddy? 1. Permanent Waves 2. Hemispheres 3. Signals 4. A Farewell to Kings 5. Moving Pictures 6. Caress of Steel 7. Fly By Night 8. 2112 9. RUSH
  8. On one hand it'd be nice to get a slew of epics in their entirety, but that would surely cost us a good 8-9 more songs of standard 5-minute length. As much as I'd love ALL of 2112, Xanadu, Jacob's Ladder, By-Tor, La Villa, Hemispheres, and Natural Science on the setlist, it's just not going to happen.
  9. Yes please! I may just explode in my pants right then and there. That would be a bona fide Rushgasm. :Alex: :Neil: :geddy:
  10. I hope you enjoy a face of abject misery.
  11. It's not a very intensive song on Geddy's vocals as shown on the VT tour (Unfortunately I was just a bit too young and wasn't quite aware of Rush yet at the time. :( )and it's a helluva fun tune and one of the first Rush songs that got me hooked on the boys... I just don't want them to call it quits without performing By-Tor one last time. Call me selfish! :P Do you have that "one song" you absolutely must hear live before they call it quits?
  12. R40 Instrumedley (Fly By Night/By-Tor and the Snowdog/Bastille Day/The Necromancer Part II: Under the Shadow/Hemispheres I: Prelude) Working Man Limelight Distant Early Warning Turn the Page Cut to the Chase Freewill Earthshine Alex Solo->The Main Monkey Business->Neil solo #1->The Main Monkey Business Kid Gloves Jacob's Ladder The Spirit of Radio Roll the Bones The Enemy Within Neil Solo #2 The Weapon Witch Hunt Geddy Solo->Leave That Thing Alone Closer to the Heart YYZ Headlong Flight->Neil Solo #3->Headlong Flight Xanadu La Villa Strangiato Tom Sawyer The Garden
  13. Are they just embarrassed to reflect back on that period? :smoke: I know I'm in the vast minority but I feel it's their strongest early-period album until AFTK.
  14. King Crimson and Tom Waits for me.. :boohoo:
  15. You can't be serious. Were you truly expecting songs like Grand Designs, Territories, Manhattan Project or Where's My Thing on the last tour?
  16. Petrified I won't be able to cough up the dough for the Greensboro show. :(
  17. Yeah, it's absurdly priced. Might have to go for some nosebleed seats this time around, sadly. I wonder if the prices would be this outrageous if it hadn't been mentioned that this would be the "Last tour of this magnitude"?
  18. Beautiful song but yeah, no chance at being played.
  19. 2112 and Headlong Flight at the beginning? Those should always be near the end.
  20. Anthem? Geddy would end up collapsing his lungs.
  21. Good for them, bad for money-pressed whipper snappers like me who want to snag a decent seat.
  22. Greensboro would be rad! That's where I'm gonna be. :haz:
  23. $380 per person? I got just as good seats as you last tour for a little over half that price. This is gonna be heavy on my wallet...
