  1. If I may... MitA is only one of the best sound tech guys ever! He can pull Geddy's vocals out of the most horrible live recordings, tweak it and make it sound like Ged is standing in your living room singing Xanadu just for you and your confused mom and grandma.

  3. 36 song marathon - starting to 'click' after multiple listens. Shame they've only performed 15 of the 36 tracks on tour so far. Hopefully more will make the setlists soon...

  5. I was in Worcester this week for work. While I was killing time in the late morning I wandered into a vinyl record shop on the main drag. The owner and I were the only 2 in there. We talked about our vinyl collections and some of the stuff we had that you just can't get any more. And as I was aimlessly thumbing through a stack of posters, I found a great Get Back promo poster with the Please Please Me and Get Back covers superimposed on one another. I'm getting it framed and put in my office.

  6. John Lennon and Yoko Ono - Some Time in NYC. John Lennon and Yoko Ono - Double Fantasy Stripped Down. Unlike Paul and Linda McCartney's (snicker) Ram, these actually are collaborations. Which is why half the songs get skipped. If I paid money to see Lennon in 1972 and got what's on the live disc of NYC, I'd be livid. I choose to believe that had John completed his comeback in 1980, Yoko would not have been allowed on the stage. I know that's not likely, but it's what I WANT to believe.

  9. January, 1973: David McCall and Bob Dorough created one of the best educational tools for kids. Short videos with cool animation, very catchy tunes with great lyrics that taught kids all about math, grammar, vocabulary and basic civics. We sure could use more of this these days!

  18. You may. He is the guy that ran MitA, or Music in the Abstract. Not sure if he had any connection to the band other than that.
