  2. Is anyone suffering from P.R.I.C.S. (Post RUSH in Concert Syndrome lately). I know I am. I have the Blu-ray of the CA Tour but its not enough. Just the fact that there won't be any RUSH in the near future has me going crazy. I need some RUSH and I Need it now! :Alex: :Neil: :geddy:

  5. These are good suggestions whether you go with meds or not. Agreed. I believe everyone needs something. Something that is theirs to have and to hold on too. Whether it be a hobby, knitting a sport or whatever. An outlet to blow off steam or to relax and to forget about the seriousness of it all. That's pretty much what I've done throughout my life anyway.... :) Couldn't agree more. This is why I exercise. I run daily and it's the best medicine for me. I get to pound all of my frustrations out into the pavement. I used to paint and write to get things out. The point is, as others have pointed out, that there are alternatives to being medicated.

Ok, let's try! http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y288/Bluefunk/Gangster/01.jpg "Who is that girl?" http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y288/Bluefunk/Gangster/02.jpg "The one with the license plate?" http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y288/Bluefunk/Gangster/03.jpg "Yeah, I would!" Later: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y288/Bluefunk/Gangster/04.jpg "Lerxst, thanks for getting Gangster's number off Janie!" Some weeks later: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y288/Bluefunk/Gangster/08.jpg "Yeah, so this is me and Gangster on the beach, and these are shots from our vacation to Italy..." 7. Recently, while watching the live version of "A Passage to Bangkok" from the Snakes and Arrows Tour I noticed that Neil doesn't play the drum fills during the chorus. I assume that Neil is extremely embarrassed by the lyrics of that song and not playing the drum fills is his little way of protesting the song. Any thoughts? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kB0vgbB7zs&t=1m2s

  9. If Geddy ever reads this stuff, he must think we have all lost it for sure. By the way, who is the baseball guy standing next to him? He looks very familiar to me. I loved the vacation lines too! How come Al and I didn't get to go on vacation? You started a beast blue!

  10. "Next will be All The Worlds A Stage?" I wouldn't be opposed :). To me, Atwas is far more historically relevant than the '74 album! It marked a time where Rush had finally attained critical mass and was destined for greatness.

  13. I'm afraid Sir Horace won't be catching the 10.15, Lady Partridge. Oh, heaven's sakes we are being formal. :finbar: Does it have to be surnames? No I would rather go back to calling you Mrs S.C.U.M. Are there any women here today? The tender compassionate story of one man's love for another man in drag. Well, I was quite pleased actually. I was trying to do my butch voice, you know, 'what the jury must understand', and they loved it, you know. I could see that foreman eyeing me. Oh yeah, you know, get 'em when they're young, eh...eh! :codger: Would you like to have a sixteen-ton weight dropped on top of you, Eric? How many sixteen-ton weights are there? Oh, it's for charity, sir. People are awfully good about it, you know. :) No, no, no, I don't follow this at all, I mean, I don't want to seem stupid but it looks to me as though I'm a pound down on the whole deal. I embezzled it sir. It's my first. Please be gentle with me. So I sentence you to be burnt at the stake. :fury: Could be worse. No chance, Brian. There's no chance. Well Brian... I'm opening a boutique. No, I'm only joking. I'm not really Brian. No, I'm not Brian. I was only - It was a joke.

  14. Just came across this multi-cam (whole!) show video from Philadelphia (10/12/2012). It's a prety good fan-recording of a CA-show imho :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N4pHmKU9uc

  18. This is fantastic, absurd, interesting, stupid, and an absolutely hilarious! Hey RushGoober—look what has happened to the Yukon Blade Grinder. It's international and bigger than footlong sandwich! Chew on it and savor the flavor. I've just gotta say, again, how impressive this is...it's just ass kicking fun! Like SWS, your content is really blossoming. YBG Europe is proud of you. I still need the receipts for your expenses. Just because you're a talented journalist doesn't mean accountability evades your "to-do" list!

  19. When it rains you have to stay indoors and when you stay indoors you get to play. A lot. If you know what I mean. I think Seattle should be "Warmwetland's" sister city. If you know what I mean. I know what you mean, and I like your meaning. A lot. Ever since I was a flannel-wearing, guitar-playing teen, I've felt like Seattle was the place for me. But instead of being in your rainy state, I'm neighbors with LABT in a frigid wasteland. :|

That's why many people are into sports fandom so much too. My two vices at this point are working out of course and this forum. Mind and body are both covered.... :) You guys are right on. My morning workout is one of my favorite parts of the day. It's such a productive way of channeling angry or nervous energy, and it's relieving at the same time. Then you can throw on your flannel and grab the guitar.... :dweez:

  27. Has anybody thought of just hiring a date for him? Hell bring a chick in from the moonlight bunny ranch. Wait, he's a musician. A working guitarist with upcoming gigs. Shouldn't he be able to score tons of chicks from that? He should be landing all kinds of swamp donkeys Hey... as a girl who happens to prefer the company of men who make music I kinda take offense to the "swamp donkey" reference! :P

  38. Oh yes. Meditation has helped me greatly! I've slowly been writing lately, and as crazy as it sounds- putting on music, getting Lucy and DANCING! hehe. I prefer natural remedies. I hate how so many people say "anxiety? PILLS!" like it's the perfect solution. I've known plenty of people who took anti depressants & stuff to help with anxiety, and more often than not it really made things worse. Ya, yes...they're starting to realize they're not right 100 percent of the time. I admitted to things I've done (like not cleaning purely out of spite. I did explain, though, that the one day I spent a full 8 hours cleaning and they told me of all I DIDN'T do, that that was what made me say "F this.") Another good night last night :) An argument almost started but we both walked away for a moment, calmed down and talked it out. before we knew it, we were cuddling on the couch. No screaming. and that was the only bump in the road last night. He's also realized that my god, I NEED alone time. Even just a few minutes. I have Lucy all day every day and sometimes I get frazzled!! so he's been telling me "go for a walk. I've got her. Go get your headphones and walk." I love walks and it's so nice to get out of the house. :)

  43. He is right about the 90's stuff however..... :finbar: Ayup, he is. Somewhere along the line I heard that truly great music holds up to the scrutiny of repeated listening. It seems like a good basis for judgement. Sure, I can listen to Counterparts and go "hey, these production values are nice, great sound quality", but if I tried to listen to that whole record 2 or 3 times in one week, I'd completely hate it. AFTK really gets boring fast, and as much as I like to think that I really dig Presto, it might just be because I don't play it all that often. I can pop Hemispheres, Signals, P/G, Power Windows, or Permanent Waves in at any time and just love it. I can't listen to Vapor Trails, Test For Echo, or even Clockwork Angels nonstop all week and still be in love with it. I agree! But AFTK is better than Hemispheres in my book. Hemispheres is an album I can only listen to once AFTK has warmed me up! And often that means after I have played AFTK about three times!! One Rush album I can listen to over and over is Roll The Bones. Its just so goood!! One album I play rarely and struggle to get through is MP. I often wonder why, because MP is the album that got me into Rush, and now I find it a chore! Its brilliant though. On the other hand, RTB doesn't appear to be considered vintage Rush, and yet I find it to be a teeny tiny bit of pop perfection. But the one album I find that truly never gets old is GUP (ok, ok...p/g). Its just incredible! Its still not in my top five, but it plays better on repeat than many of my firmer favourites!
