That's a very good point! Although I remember how they killed "Tom Sawyer" "The Big Money" "Subdivisions" and "Time Stand Still." After that not so much although I remember the "Stick It Out" video was always on. The guy with the fukking grunge long hair in the chair. Annoying.

In my book Appetite For Destruction" is a top ten hard rock album of all time for sure.

It's great, and it could easily find it's way into many people's top tens. For me, it's very good, great, but not a real humongous personal favorite. I have a connection with it, but I have a stronger connection with many other albums in that vein.

Absolutely love the album, but I prefer the UYI albums. Coma, Estranged, Civil War, Locomotive, You Could Be Mine, 14 Years, Dust N' Bones, Right Next Door To Hell, Don't Damn Me, etc. I find those to be much better than most of the material on Appetite. AFD just happens to be more concise/consistent.

I have also taken my dad to see RUSH 3 times.

I hated Appetite when it hit the market. I actually returned the cassette to my record store for credit. I thought it was dog shit.

 

But then that summer my buddies were playing it everyday. So BOOM! I bought it again and it clicked.
