It's odd that Rush didn't stick with one recognizable logo - I suppose the Starman took the place of one particular font / logo ..... Narps, the ironic thing is I first heard KISS while driving in the backseat of the family Vista Cruiser - it was Rock And Roll All Night, and I was immediately drawn to the vibe and energy .... I remember this like is was yesterday - I say to my sister "I love this song" and she says "It's that band that wears the makeup" - I had no idea what she was talking about, as I didn;t know what they looked like ... After a few days of hounding my parents, they took me to find a KISS album .. Alive ! had just come out ... I saw the album on display, and realized what my sis was talking about ...
