I have many favorite songs on this album...Animate is one of them (simply because of the first line: Goddess in my garden, sister in my soul...those who know me well will know why this lyric inspires me as it does
) Double Agent is a fabulous song, whenever I was stuck at my old job the first line of that would go thru my head: Where would you rather be, anywhere, anywhere but here...
But my total favorite out of all of them has to be Cut to the Chase...just an awesome song, and I love the studio version of it, mostly due to, right after the bridge, before they go into the chorus (you know, the cut, cut, cut....cut to the chase part
) them sending all the music first to the right speaker, then to the left speaker, back to the right and then bringing it all back up in stereo...fantastic mixing job on that one!!

Cut To The Chase... This is a tough one, because every song is a heavy hitter. But CTTC is truly my favorite. In my opinion, this is the best sounding CD they recorded since Moving Pictures. So much bottom end, and drag you through the dirt licks. I'm tired when I'm finished listening to this album. It sets out from the beginning to just kick your ass... no question about it.

This is a difficult choice as I've loved every track on it (eveery since standing outside Mike Lloyd music in Hanley on a freezing cold day on the release date) with the exception of Stick It Out - just can't get a handle on it.
However, Cold Fire comes out a winner for two reasons - Al's killer guitar riff and the imagery conjured by the lyrics (phosphorescent wave on a tropical beach)
