Impressive list by Rushead666.
Since he is a Saxon fan, I'm suprised that he missed "Wheels of Steel"
also "Souped up Ford" by Rory Gallagher.
Not being picky but surely "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden isn't a car song - its about a battle like the Charge of the Light Brigade!

Two great calls that I missed!

I know "The Trooper" in not a car song, just one I would love to blast with the windows down and the stereo cranked!

My listed is a mixture of both!!

"Hot Rod Lincoln" PAT TRAVERS BAND written by Charlie Ryan

Tom Cochrane-Life is a Highway!

Numan's Cars is cool, but I like Fear Factory's cover better. El clicko.

A song about a muscle car the became possessed by demons?
Doesn't Stephen King write a book about something like that?

That's Christine. This one is based on a movie, but I forget the title. There are samples from the movie in the song. I'm just the drummer. It's got a cool guitar lead for the kid being only 12 when he wrote and played it, imho...

Why in the world doesn't the dude like Red Barchetta? That's one of the coolest tunes of all time! I figure if he can hate RB I can like SSD...

Anyone remember Aretha Franklin riding on the Freeway of Love in her pink Cadillac?

wink.gif

Hell yeah, I remember that video... I live in detroit and got to run thru the same mixing board she and lots of motown artists did (years later, of couse). It's a magical board lol. rolling stones did a video where they were all standing around the board. It's a Trident mixing board, custom....

OK, I'm sure you peeps don't care, but here's a low-res vid capure of the video I'm talking about:

Here's another one but with Foghat using the same board. A quite famous board in Detroit. lol

Radiohead - Killer Cars

I'm going out for a little drive

And it could be the last time you see me alive

There could be an idiot on the road

The only kick in life is pumping his steel

Wrap me up in the back of the trunk

Packed with foam and blind drunk

They won't ever take me alive

'Cause they all drive... (Killer cars)
