goose
Aussie bands have long been among my favorite, and I'm curious which bands my fellow TRFers listen to or have listened to over the years. My top non-AC/DC bands from the Land Down Under include: Angel CityThe ChurchCold ChiselMen At WorkMidnight Oil Crap. Clicked EDIT and killed the poll. JohnnyBlaze
I like bits and pieces from some of those bands but none of them get me that excited. Some of them I'd see at a festival type gig with multiple stages showcasing several bands BUT I wouldn't go to a show for just ONE of those bands. Mosher
I need to check out Angel City and Cold Chisel, I don't know either of them. I think you'd like some of the ones I added, Goose. Edit: Weird that I don't know the Angels. I like them a lot, thanks for broadening the picture! And based on what I heard you'd definitely like some of the ones I mentioned. Just listened to a bit of Cold Chisel as well. A bit of old and a bit of new. I like the singer a lot. Definitely more win here. Thanks! Edited February 16, 2017 by Mosher

Leanne
INXS, Silverchair, Bee Gees, Men at Work, Wolfmother (I've been wanting to listen to more music by them, I've only heard 'Woman').

They had a hit with Cheap Wine, one of the great all-time drinking songs Angel City/The Angels had a hit with Marseilles. Out of the Blue is a song of theirs I really like. Mosher
Split Enz are from New ZealandYeah, but close enough. If we include New Zealand then it's tougher for me. 70's Split Enz were bizarre, but wonderful. Not taking anything away from what they did after Neil Finn joined his older brother, but Tim Finn and Phil Judd were weird in a way I really love. I'd still vote for the Oils, though.
