Deep Purple4. ___________ Judas Priest. No they came a little too far after those bands and therefore belong to another group. Purple had 9 albums out by the time Priest got their debut going and they'd gone altogether by time their second one came out. And Sabbath and Zeppelin both had 5 albums out by 1974. Rutlefan
American bands with bigger reputations than record sales. It's all here, people: The Velvet UndergroundThe StoogesNew York DollsBig Star An honorable mention at least to The Modern Lovers. Fronted by Jonathan Richman (tree-singing guy in There's Something About Mary for those unaware) and included the Car's David Robinson and Talking Heads' Jerry Harrison. Famous debut included the often-covered classics "Roadrunner" and "Pabo Picasso." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kc2iLAubras https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgRYncR1Nog Edited August 14, 2016 by Rutlefan
