Digital Dad
The other day I heard Phil Collins' "I Don't Care Anymore" on the radio. I love the drum pattern. My alarm wakes me up every weekday morning at 4:45 AM with that drum beat.

toymaker
Always came across as a nice man too. Don't know if he is, but that's how he appeared to me. He tells a story about how he used to actually send money to people in need if they wrote to him. Unfortunately, one guy abused that trust by writing multiple times, each time with a different "illness."

Lorraine
Not first thing in the morning. They remind me of the old punk bands at CBGB's in the seventies.

ReRushed
Going over 1980s songs I came across these post-punk masterpieces with great intros: "Love Will Tear Us Apart" - Joy Division "Born In Xixax" - Nina Hagen.

g under p
A song about addiction, probably Daves own addiction especially in that second paragraph speaking in the third person..... I heard somebody fixed todayThere was no last goodbyes to sayHis will to live ran outI heard somebody turned to dust Looking back at what he leftA list of plans and photographsSongs that never will be sungThese are the thinge he won't get done I've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle use the manI've seen them crawl from the cradle to the gutter on their handsThe fight a war but it's fatal, it's so hard to understandI've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle use that man Just one shot to say goodbyeOne last taste to mourn and cryScores and shoots, the lights go dimJust one shot to do him in He hangs his head and wonders whyWhy the monkey only liesBut pay the pauper, he did chooseHe hing his head inside the noose I've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle use that manI've seen them crawl from the cradle to the coffin on their handsThey fight a war but it's fatal, it's so hard to understandI've seen the man use the needle, seen the needle in his handCryptic writing on the wall, the beginning of the endI've seen myself use the needle, seen the needle in my hand http://youtu.be/r7Co_N938k0 Edited June 21, 2016 by g under p

Lorraine
One of the best and most beautiful Led Zep songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=u1z4vkPWkLQ This has great sound, but whoever uploaded it cut the ending of the song off. :o Edit: Listen to this one instead. At least the person knew enough that the song didn't end when the music fades away. Edited June 21, 2016 by Lorraine
