Here are a few off the top of my head: "Stop Your Sobbing" - Pretenders"I Fought the Law" - The Clash"Long Tall Sally" - The Beatles"Dear Prudence" - Siouxsie and the Banshees"Across the Universe" - Fiona Apple Personally, I think s great cover tune doesn't necessarily improve on the original, but it does help the listener realize that it's a great song open to interpretation.
