I'm a fan of the Monster album. Love the all the guitar effect from Peter Buck.

Holy crap, this is my favorite maiden album, how could we have missed this one out??

 

Because everyone is trying to be so different with their picks, we're missing some obvious ones.

 

I don't agree with that. I think this thread proves that their is a wider range of great music than we at first realised.

 

Not everyone is moved by an album just because the media seems to regard it as a classic.

 

For example, Rumours is a great album, but it would be the third FM album I would choose to put on this list.

 

We all have our own tastes, and from what I have read everything seems to be consistent with each members regular posts outside this thread.

 

Nearly all the classics I have heard disappointed me, I tend to find a bands best work once I dig a little deeper. I wouldn't out Close To The Edge down first if Tales or GFTO move me 100 times more.
