ZERO THE HERO :dweez:

:AlienSmiley: :aliensmiley:

Don't be ridiculous.

The Mob Rules!

Psychophobia!

I think Ozzy would probably sound the best singing Psychophobia.

The riff in Zero The Hero is pretty good.

All Dio stuff is off limits for Ozzy. He doesn't have the vocal talent to sing them.

I would take with pleasure even an instrumental version of Sabbra Cadabra. Could be nice for Adam Wakeman playing an odd track more than 40 years after his father.

Great song! One of my favorites.

I think it would be awesome if they did an instrumental medley of Supernaut/Sabbra Cadabra/Symptom Of The Universe. Ozzy can't sing them now and the riffs are the part of the song I'd most like to hear anyway, so give him a 15 minute break and let the other guys just jam.

It would be great; I'm just concerned about having Ozzy offstage for all that time: would he remember then that he has to go back onstage for second half of the show?....

Ha ha, good point. In the middle of the show on the Diary tour, there was a lengthy break for a guitar solo, full band jam, and then drum solo all consecutively. If he wasn't offstage for 15 minutes, it was close. Of course, he had 33 less years on his body and a wider assortment of stimulants to keep him going back then. ;)

I saw OZZY twice for exactly $31.50

And Motley Crue and Alice in Chains opened up the 2 shows.

As good as it might be, I'll sit this one out.

Duh.

And why would anyone think, even for a second, that Ozzy would want to sing a Dio song?

I also heard they didn't like each other either, so there goes that, even if he could sing Dio's stuff.

Did you see the Diary tour with Randy? I saw it but it was after Randy died and he had Brad Gillis on guitar. I did see the Blizzard tour however so got me some live Rhoads.

Dio was just one of those rare gifted singers.

Nobody could ever sing his stuff, imho.

In case anyone's wondering.....Ozzy shouldn't try to sing any of Ian Gillan's material, either.

I believe it was an interview with Iommi or maybe Geezer that I read a number of years ago, where it was said that they rehearsed Heaven & Hell with Ozzy back when they first reunited in 1998. But they dropped it because Ozzy just couldn't sing the song.

So, they at least attempted to do something from Dio with Ozzy.

Yeah I saw the tour in February of 1982, one month before the accident. Randy was absolutely amazing. Only like 25 years old when he died, already immensely talented and consumed with learning all he could to get better. So much more amazing music he would've given to the world. Such a tragedy. :(

No, it wouldn't, both sing differently. Ozzy usually just sings along with the riff on a lot of Sabbath stuff. Dio sang along to the music in a different kind of way.

Lets get one thing straight, though. Although RJD was one of the most amazing singers of our time, and what he brought to Black Sabbath was brilliant, he's just not as evil sounding as Ozzy is. Or as crazy. Dio could never drone like Ozzy when he sang the old songs during the 80's.

I saw H&H four times and was ok with them not doing the old stuff.

I sure miss Ronnie.

I saw the Diary tour about 2 weeks after Randy died. Bernie Torme was on guitar.

Hitting L.A., Chicago and Vegas again in the same year, but only one Texas show? Still blowing off the southeast? Very strange itinerary, this tour. Edited by TexMike
