When I go see Gilmour in Chicago next spring, he'll play enough Floyd to make me think otherwise, so pfft. :)

Gilmour announced a tour? Or just a hopeful post?

When Lapse came out I really did not have a thing about what was Floyd and what was not. I had already digested the Wall at that point and was aware they did go off and do solo work. But that was about it and I loved that album. I still listen to it (Side 2 ftw) but the glean has worn off simply because I have digested so much Floyd over the years. Division Bell didnt even register for me and never really got into it. So Floyd as a creative entity ceased in my estimation at that point.

Really wish Gilmour would add a few more dates. I'd pay good money to see Mason and Gilmour tour together...Not under the Pink Floyd name of course...but in recent interviews Nick has said he'd be more than happy to start touring and playing that music. Still pretty excited about the new Gilmour album...I'll take one of those over a Waters solo album any day.

Yeah there was really nothing amazing or mind blowing about any of that album. I'm glad it exists and it is a beautiful package but musically there's not really a whole lot to offer.

I believe they will do something for the 50th anniversary two years from now.

Even if it is just a one off show.

Waters has really mellowed, so I think it would be up to Gilmour.

Time will tell.

Waters has mellowed and it seems gilmour has soured.

not a chance.

i will be blown over if anything happens.

Here's one fan that's sad but philosophical.

Dark Side of the Moon.Wish You Were Here.Animals.The Wall.Four great albums that remain nclassics.

The right decision to finish? Definitely.

Will they do a one off concert in two years time? No chance!

Superb band.

How about if I'm right, you two can buy my ticket to a NYC gig?

If I'm wrong, I'll buy yours. :)

Can't argue with that!

However I think there's a better chance of seeing the Redskins winning the Super bowl next season than Gilmour and Waters ever performing on the stage together,i believe!!!
